Looks like they got the approval from the City Planning Commission.
Overall, I enjoyed the movie, but it definitely seemed like it was made for Disney+ and not for a theatrical release.
The pacing is all over the place, at times the movie feels incredibly low budget and then other times it feels big budget.
I do like the story they created around the Mansion...
I mean the movie will flop regardless lol
It'll probably find new life on Disney+ when they put it on the service for Halloween time. They originally had The Marvels set for the July slot so they're probably happy that they moved Haunted Mansion to this spot.
I agree. The PG-13 rating might hurt it with families with young kids deciding what to take the whole family out to see.
It could be good counter programing though.
Its runtime is 122 minutes and the current opening weekend projections are between 35-50 mil.
That weekend line up:
Barbie and Oppenheimer 2nd week and MI7 3rd week.
I'm looking forward to this movie but I personally don't think it will do that well.
The movie is good. It's a little long and Prince Eric's song is kind of pointless.
Halle is amazing. Her voice and overall presence is pure magic. She is Ariel.
Melissa McCarthy as Ursula was perfect casting.
