Actually, the Coronado is not a deluxe resort. It is a moderate resort like Riverside. If I had to choose, I would stay at POR - it is more centraly located and the boat ride to Downtown Disney is a nice alternative to the busses. Nothing wrong with Coronado though.

We usually take traveler's checks and cash out $100 per day at the resort front desk each morning before we hit the parks. Front desks a Disney hotels will do this for you with no problems.

Actually, the latest rumor is that as part of the Siemans make over of SSE, the entire outside of the ride will be remade to look like Mike from Monsters, Inc.

We travel with good old fashioned travelers checks. We cash $100 out every morning and leave the rest in the safe. We have never had a problem. If we are ever missing any checks, we would call AmEx, they would void the missing checks and issue us new ones. I never a large amount of cash around.
