Being a monorail pilot, there are times there are issues on the beamway that require the pilot to listen to the radio!Yes,we actually control the trains.Alot of front cab guest, assume we are put up there to entertain them.

Maybe we should start a thread for rude guest!Don't judge cm until you have walked in there shoes.

I guess i just never had the privledge.Seems like reduced power on the beamway would cause all kinds of havoc on the inverters and not really good on the traction motors.It must be a problem that they have fixed, because in a year and a half, i never saw it.

Could of been 1)Maintence check 2)slow pilot if there are only 3 trains on the beam.It's easy to have a lost train.If there's lost power on the beam your not going anywhere.Guest get a little exicited when you hit the dead beamway and the trains arcs. Gives new meaning to the 4th of July.:ROFLOL:

I dont know about the delay on the 7/3/08.Unless they changed it again ,the monorail runs during the perimeter fireworks.The only restrictions being no trains on the spur.

I can assure you red is not the smoothest ride on the beam.Along with paint,silver also had the new propulison system and run-stop switch installed.Yellow,red,and now silver have the new systems.
