'Disney Fit Challenge' brings competitive fitness and CrossFit to ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex

Everyone is definitely entitled to their own opinions. Not saying that anyone on here is doing it because we'll all being civil, but I just hate it when people say all these horrible things about CrossFit whenever they get a chance to so they can make fun of people who do it. Most of the time...

I agree that it's all relative. I know people who don't like to run, but like lifting weights and vice versa. However, I also know people, myself included, who love running long distances and CrossFit/weight lifting.

I'm definitely competing in this! They may be taking advantage of the popularity of this sport, but at least they are working with actual CrossFit gyms instead of trying to steal people away from them. Personally, I think that CrossFit isn't going to fade away anytime in the near future. Yes...

    Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend

That I did! I ran a couple miles and then walked for about 30 seconds. Then I kept repeating that until the finish.

    Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend

I know I'm a little late posting this, but this semester is keeping me busy already. A couple of my friends and I took on the dopey challenge this year and enjoyed the experience that came along with it, except having to wake up at 3:15am every morning. Lol. The 5k and half marathon I was...

    What did you do?

I ran 18 miles on the treadmill yesterday morning! Thankfully, it was my last really long run until the marathon in about 3 weeks. I also set 3 new PR's this past week at CrossFit! Deadlift: 315 lbs., Backsquat: 210 lbs., and Shoulder Press: 120 lbs. I'm looking forward to completing the Dopey...

    Who I Run 4!

I will definitely keep you guys updated on how things are going. Right now I'm still waiting to be paired with a buddy, which I figure will be in a few weeks. That's not too long of a wait considering there were about 1,450 people in front of me when I signed up.

    What did you do?

I ran 15 miles this morning on the treadmill at a 9:00/mile pace, which is the furthest I've run since the wine and dine half. Even though I hate it, it looks like I'll be stuck running on the treadmill until it warms up and quits snowing in Ohio.

    Who I Run 4!

Hey everyone! I was one of the 12,000 runners who completed the Wine and Dine Half Marathon a couple weeks ago. During the race I came across a couple of runners who I decided to strike up a conversation with and help pace the rest of the race. Afterwards while hanging out with them at the after...

    What did you do?

Yesterday morning I ran in the Cleveland Heroes Run 5 miler race. I was using it as part of a training run so I ran 2.5 miles before and a mile afterwards. I ended up winning my age group, 18-24, with a time of 34:00. Later in the evening I rode 10 miles on my bike. My next big race will be this...

    What did you do?

Good luck in the 5k on Castaway Cay! I did it this past March when I was on the Caribbean cruise. Even though it might not seem like much beforehand, it's a pretty unique experience.

    Hey Runners, Wanna Play along?

I got the Runners World "The Runner's Field Manual" that has a section of race etiquette and says that you should never where a race shirt until after you finish the race. It makes sense in that race shirts show others that you competed in that race. So why where it if you haven't done it yet.

    What did you do?

Ran 10 miles at 7:00am this morning with my dad in the metroparks by my house. Then I rode 14 miles on my triathlon bike this afternoon. Less than 3 months until wine and dine!
