EPCOT Remy's Ratatouille Adventure coming to Epcot

I personally think Guardians will likely be a headline attraction to rival FOP & RotR for the resort and they knew Tron wasn't that. Tron will not garner the waits that the other two will over the long haul and that is was they ultimately choose MK for Tron. MK doesn't need a crazy headliner to attract. Word of mouth will spread soon enough and everyone will be gaga for Guardians... at least that is my guess as to what Management is hoping.

Correct. Guardians is the only Marvel attraction at WDW so the demand will be crazy

If Tron wasn't viewed by the company as a headliner, it would not have opened at Shanghai Disneyland as THE anchor for Tomorrowland. It and Pirates were designed as the immediate must-see attractions for the Mainland China park. They know it will be a massive hit for the Magic Kingdom.

they may have been designed that way but tron and pirates are not equals.

Any new attraction at WDW will always be insanely popular. Just because WDW is popular and people love something new.

Seven Dwarves Mine Train for example is a pretty average attraction. It's a good addition but its popularity isn't reflective of how good it is, IMO.
Of course but there’s game changers and then a there just popular attractions. Tron will also limit the amount of people that can ride it because of its height requirement and interesting size limits.

Honestly, it's the same even at most regional parks. A new coaster will almost always have a line. The thing is, regional and local parks tend to add new rides almost annually. At this time, Mine Train is still the newest toy at MK, refurbishments aside.

SDMT also fits nicely into the core demographic of family’s that attend MK. Is it mostly mediocre? Yes. But just about everyone can ride it so there’s that.

They’re far from equals, but the satisfaction they provide (for a typical guest) is surprisingly similar.

Mission Breakout is another attraction that has no right to be as fun as it is. My inner curmudgeon wants to hate it for replacing something ‘sacred,’ but I like it more than DCA’s ToT. Had never seen Guardians before riding it, either.

Not to knock Ratatouille endlessly, it seems like Rat’s also more fun (for most) than I give it credit for. That’s ultimately what matters.

I also think a part of it is Tron will rival RNR as the most "intense" coaster at WDW. It makes more sense to put that in a park with other less intense coasters so guests have options.

Conversely, GOTG is the first coaster at Epcot and I think they would want something more family friendly there (they've called it a "family coaster" in addition to "story coaster" so I don't think it will be too crazy and probably have something like a 40-42" height requirement).

In China. Generally the worlds Disney fans (for the most part) are not going to travel to China to go to a Disney park to enjoy the specified attractions.

The Epcot park reservation for my 9/18 preview has been loaded to my MDE account. I never received an email confirmation after completing the reservation process, so I'm really glad to see it now and not closer to the actual event date.

I would agree. The ride isn't bad - more a bit meh. Especially with the trackless rides at DHS being superior IMHO. It's cute. Nothing special.

Other than some of the execution elements (i.e. the facade) and that they could have pushed the Epcot/France integration a bit more with a slight story rewrite - this one isn't itself as offensive. It's that it's part of this overall aggressive change, so guilt by association. I feel the need to dislike it. Where, if this was the only project vs. part of FEA and its legacy, I think I would be OK and see the value for the audience who loves the characters.

As for Coco - if it was a celebration of Day of the Dead, I totally agree as well. Slapping a Coco fantasyland ride in less so. Having him explain little things about the celebration and its history. That has strong possibility IMHO.

It loos pretty and should be a nice addition to World Showcase... This one always seemed like a good idea to me.
If the IP seamlessly fits it's location, it's a real plus. Coco in the Mexico pavilion would also be a fun fresh seamless addition.

I just passed out for a moment.
You like it! :D ;)

I agree, it looks very pretty. I bet will feel a bit "magical" in the area at night.

I’ve re-evaluated my opinion. Rat is a fun ride and a great addition. Crush is a fun ride and also would have been a *good* addition. But given the expansion to the pavilion and superb theming of the area, the correct decision was to clone Rat over Crush.

I can give credit where it’s due. The ride? A solid C+/D- and all the parks need more of them.

And I’m not so obtuse as to not enjoy this…

Although we could have done without the dreary weather. Would have been exemplary if WDI could have also recreated the rainy gray skies and chilly wind we had when there for real authenticity. Like the Mexico pavilion only miserable.
