We have to wait and see next month....I would not get your hopes up on the federal rules on transportation changing before 2022.

Thank you for posting the CDC Director Dr. Redfield article since some thought it was lies.I was a hospital administrator for over 15 years. I know exactly how hospitals are paid, and where the majority of reimbursement comes from.

CDC director acknowledges hospitals have a monetary incentive to overcount coronavirus deaths
U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Robert Redfield agreed that some hospitals have a monetary incentive to overcount coronaviruswww.washingtonexaminer.com
Margaritaville is going to require employees (300,000) to be vaccinated.
It’s probably advantageous to let it go at this point.Thank you for posting the CDC Director Dr. Redfield article since some thought it was lies.
The requirement would change to being fully vaxxed after the 3rd dose. It’s really no different. People today who have 1 dose but not 2 are still excluded from any activity that is requiring vaccination including workplaces. The CDC would need new cards that have a 3rd line for shot 3 and this would be a great time to digitize that info in a National database. When you get shot 3 you turn in the original card and get a new card with the dates of all 3 shots on it and they enter that info into the database. Then you can have an app or multiple apps designed off of the data. Very similar to the NY state system but on a national level.I think that would be difficult for businesses to oversee, as “technically” you are fully vaxx’d after the 2-dose series (or single JJ).
Excuse me @GoofGoof I have a couple questions to ask.The requirement would change to being fully vaxxed after the 3rd dose. It’s really no different. There currently IS a third line on the Covid/CDC card, labeled other. The pharmacy where I got my 3rd dose used that, and added "3rd dose" with the appropriate info in the blank space. The CDC would need new cards that have a 3rd line for shot 3 and this would be a great time to digitize that info in a National database. The “other side” is shrinking by the day. As more people get vaccinated less people will resist. Nationally we are over 72% of adults that have at least 1 shot. It’s a smaller and smaller minority of people who won’t get a shot. Nobody will be forced to get a shot but you may find yourself out of a job and unable to take a cruise or go to a concert or if public sentiment continues to evolve possibly even visit a theme park or fly on an airplane. Everyone will have a choice but the choice will have consequences. In many areas of the country this is not going to happen or there will be all out riots.
The other side is done messing around too.... this isn’t going to be pretty.
That works except for the people who got their cards laminated. Either way it can be done with the existing cards. I do think we missed a golden opportunity to have a centralized database. People could be offered the ability to opt out of the database but they would then be ineligible to use any apps to show proof of vaccination. There currently IS a third line on the Covid/CDC card, labeled other. The pharmacy where I got my 3rd dose used that, and added "3rd dose" with the appropriate info in the blank space.
The issue is that the anti-vax crowd will jump on this to continue to state that COVID is no big deal. They will also be jumping on the fact that the CDC is now looking at adding a 3rd dose for better protection. They'll just state that the vaccine obviously doesn't work at all, so why bother. Not my feeling as DW and I are both fully vaccinated, and have zero issue with getting boosters. I really think that, due to the idiots that won't get vaccinated (not those that cannot due to medical reasons), we will be needing at least yearly boosters for possibly many years, or even forever, just like a flu shot (which we also get every year).I’m not going to get into an argument over this. If “everyone” was hearing that, I apologize. The fact is I know first hand how unscrupulous some hospital administrators can be. My intent was to simply point out that there was an increased opportunity. I can see that some didn’t understand that.
My understanding is you can still work for Disney, you just have to get tested regularly. If someone wants to work for Disney going forward they will need to be vaccinated. That’s the rule.
Seems to be people just don't go back. There's certainly no availability issue. What is the issue where you are with getting the second shots? People who voluntarily did not go back for the second, or a lack of availability?
Remains to be seen if a booster shot will be needed annually, or end up more like hepatitis B, where you need 3 doses to achieve enduring immunity. Time will tell. The issue is that the anti-vax crowd will jump on this to continue to state that COVID is no big deal. True, but is Disney covering the cost of the tests? If I were a business owner and the employee had the choice of getting a free shot or testing, and opted for testing, there is no way I would cover the cost of the tests. Make the employees pay if they want to continue to work there. My understanding is you can still work for Disney, you just have to get tested regularly.
I would have no problem with either scenario. I just worry that people on the fence about getting the shot will shy away from it if they know they now need 3 instead of 2.Remains to be seen if a booster shot will be needed annually, or end up more like hepatitis B, where you need 3 doses to achieve enduring immunity. Yes.Or 2 instead of 1?

Wow! This kind of sums up how I feel about all of the data we're given. So much of it is useless for exactly the types of reasons you state, yet it could be so meaningful if put together differently. I guess that's statistics in general. Anyone can use them to show anything if the people drawing conclusions don't ask the right questions. It's definitely frustrating.
