Not meant to be political and will remove if mods ask me to. Just posting to show the state of things in Arkansas 8 available ICU beds seems a bit low even tor a small state IMHO
Vaccines are shown to reduce hospitalizations but still allow for the contaction, incubation, and transmission of the virus.
My have success criteria been shifted.
Yesterday’s hero today’s villain.I am so sorry to hear about your friends and family. Anyone refusing to get vaccinated and working in elderly care should be fired. End of story.

With Canada legalizing recreational weed nationwide, perhaps the farmers don't want wandering eyes and ears near their grows.Said form still exists and has similar questions regarding farms and seeds. Everyone has to fill it out, even Canadian citizens.
Never mind, it will get political.Yes, since you quoted me I assumed as much but I don't understand the point you were trying to make.
I mean the pandemic will continue for USA for YEARS too. NOOOO!! I hope the pandemic ends in USA as the pandemic will continue for rest of the global world until 2023.This COVID back and forth and passive-aggressive politicking in the thread is going to be around and awful for YEARS. Whether or not I participate isn’t going to change that. I don’t mean it being around like the flu, I mean this madness. Gotta love it.
I really hope we shut it down again...there is no way the borders should be open at this point regardless of what precautions are taken. Obviously it sucks for families and people with loved ones on the other side but right now I think it is a pretty dangerous move. I think they should have pulled it back before it happened on Monday IMHOThose plans were announced before the delta wave really caught fire, so that means that the planning probably preceded the announcement by at least several weeks. Knowing the speed of government, kind of hard to pivot away from such a major undertaking in less than a month.
Really hoping that the US border reciprocates soon. My wife hasn't seen her family in over two years.
You do understand shutting all borders includes denying travelers flying into the USA to enter?I really hope we shut it down again...there is no way the borders should be open at this point regardless of what precautions are taken. I'm reasonably disappointed in our provincial government in Ontario. There is a LOT of pressure to bring in some form of vaccine passport but our conservative government is not budging so far. To be fair, I believe they still might. I thought it was incredibly dumb to not require our school staff and teachers NOT to be vaccinated nor kids 12+. My personal opinion is that this should be the case as well as for anyone working in health care or elder care. There should be absolutely no excuse for anyone not to have the vaccine other than legitimate medical reasons. I'm pretty concerned about the school year. We don't have kids in that age bracket but I feel for those who do. Poor management in my opinion.British Columbia has a better run government run health system as compared to Ontario which health care system falters , and BC numbers are better than Ontario, but nothing comes close to Florida.
correct...until we get our vaccination rates to very high levels we should not allow travel. I realize it's kind of strong but frankly, the US is a disaster right now and I don't see that correcting any time soon, unfortunately. I really hope they do as I would love to travel there. We were very disappointed to cancel our November plans to visit Florida including WDW but we thought it was the most prudent thing we could do.You do understand shutting all borders includes denying travelers flying into the USA to enter?
Iceland, Australia, and New Zealand (probably some others as well) will be ending the pandemic before the USA. That’s for sure.I mean the pandemic will continue for USA for YEARS too. NOOOO!! I hope the pandemic ends in USA as the pandemic will continue for rest of the global world until 2023.
I don’t think my industry (and several others) could take a hit like that again. Many within the industry, including myself, would likely be put on furlough again. Or laid off, on top of the ones who were laid off the first time around.correct...until we get our vaccination rates to very high levels we should not allow travel.
