You know what's funny?
correct...until we get our vaccination rates to very high levels we should not allow travel. I realize it's kind of strong but frankly, the US is a disaster right now and I don't see that correcting any time soon, unfortunately. I really hope they do as I would love to travel there. We were very disappointed to cancel our November plans to visit Florida including WDW but we thought it was the most prudent thing we could do.
I don’t think my industry (and several others) could take a hit like that again. Many within the industry, including myself, would likely be put on furlough again. Or laid off, on top of the ones who were laid off the first time around.

If that is the case I may be selling off stock . I don't think the borders will close. It seemed like the sky fell in the spring of 2020 in regards to the stock market but created a tremendous buying opportunity with some with cash on the sidelines.

I don’t think we should be making health policies based on your industry.

It’s tricky... I get it. But the world’s economy is not going to actually improve until we get this under control. Just ignoring the problem will not make it go away.

You may be right on the borders..who knows. I find it almost laughable that we are allowing Americans into our country when things are in such poor shape in their country yet we can't enter the US when our situation is considerably better (not that I would go at this point). Interesting to be sure.

agreed but it is awful for folks affected by it...I sincerely hope things straighten out quickly but I'm not terribly optimistic

“And several others”

what you’re suggesting, stopping travel for essentially a second time, would be epic for many industries. It would make the first time look like a cake walk. It’s almost incomprehensible to me.

I just don’t know how many times we have to screw up before people will stop getting their heads out of their and do what’s best?

tall order in ‘Merica…I know…

Delta is causing wide spread chaos…but the problem is that may not be the “bad variant”…the next could set the counter back to zero if it breaks through vaccines and causes even mild clinical care…

how long before we not have to live the mistake?

That's not correct. Canadians cannot drive into the USA thru the border but they can buy a round trip ticket and fly to Orlando if they want to.

that's very true...I was thinking about the land borders. I actually don't agree with Canadians being allowed to fly into the US either.
