I feel really bad for the security staff that have to put up with that nonsense.

When did loudly trying to disrupt the legitimate business of a government meeting become "making your voice heard"?
I feel really bad for the security staff that have to put up with that nonsense.

Sadly such behavior has been occurring across the country for several years now. The best antidote would be if the general public simply would not support what ever the irresponsible, irritating, noisemakers are advocating. Once it is realized such behavior is counterproductive to what these folks desired at least a reduction in such behavior will occur.
P.S. The media needs to stop highlighting and giving such behavior air time.

I saw a tweet to our governor (MD) that a bunch of protestors were going to go out and protest the restrictions we currently have in front of the state house.
We literally have no restrictions imposed by the governor right now. He redeclared the state of emergency. Other than that, some of the counties have imposed fairly minor restrictions (masking in schools and county buildings). Stupid people.

The city says the Delta variant is more easily spread, so mask-wearing is "crucial"
I hope masks will be gone by November in NYC as both NJ and NYC will have reducing spreading virus as they will getting so low until October/November.

Only a “duh” stat if you don’t have kids in Florida. Yes, it stands to reason since we have the glorious distinction of leading the nation in overall cases— but in the midst of a health emergency, any story that raises awareness is a good thing. As parents here in the Sunshine State, we know for a fact many of our kids’ peers are unvaccinated due to the usual reasons, including the common misconception that children are not adversely affected. But here we are. So, given the fact few of any school districts here are calling for mask mandates, perhaps this article is of note.

I was at a Lake county (west of Orange / Orlando) testing site this morning that was busy but still no-wait. The tech giving tests screened me and said they were only doing PCR testing in vaccinated individuals if showing symptoms. My wife was with me and was denied because she was non-symptomatic and vaccinated, even though she was with me and I was symptomatic and vaccinated and already had a positive rapid test. (Need PCR confirmation for work documentation requirements). Apparently if you’re vaccinated, exposure isn’t a valid flag for testing?
She claimed they were following CDC guidelines in doing that. I found it odd that we’re denying testing in any circumstances at all at the moment. I thought by this point you wouldn’t need much of a reason, vaccinated or not.
Anyway if anyone from Orlando wants to drive out to Lake, all of the lake county sites were still mostly no-wait. (Only limited hours 8-noon though).

The link I posted that you responded to me here, isn’t about anti-vaxxers at all. It was more about people claiming they don’t want the government dictating to them what to do. Very little in the informative article even touched on the anti-vax crowd. So actually I’m in agreement with you here but don’t know why I was quoted.
Again, if you read the article you will see we are in agreement.. on this issue .

I thought the days of sanitation theater like this were long gone. What good is a "deep clean" of surfaces going to do for a virus that isn't transmitted on surfaces.(Not connected to my previous post)
