REALLY????? Honestly!
Now that I said that.........where is this? It looks like a beach at an Ocean or very big lake. Why would a barge be out there?

There should just be a worldwide ban on LED screens floating on water. I don't think many would be upset about it.

Yeah I would fully expect media previews given the amount of press they will likely have on hand.
The removed hardware from a couple of weeks ago is being replaced along with other work going on at the barges today.

Honest question: I wonder what will happen if/when a hurricane rolls through and pelts the tacos and stargate with flying debris.
I'm sure it has been engineered for that. These things are like off shore oil rigs. Wouldn't surprise me if they were about the last thing standing if a hurricane rolled through EPCOT.

That would be my thought as well. There’s no excuse for not engineering it to handle a hurricane. However, if there were parts already needing replacement… It could just be isolated failures, certainly, but it raises eyebrows.
I’ll be curious to see how these hold up A) once they are used daily, and B) when a storm rolls through.

I see these off the beach in Clearwater, they are usually towed behind a boat or are self propelled and the drive up and down the beaches from St Pete to Clearwater. Think of them as the banners you see towed behind planes but on the water.

Wishful thinking they are adding more fountain heads. One of the issues is they are spaced out to far. If they were more of them and closer together it would look better.
No it is lighting unit replacements. I would very doubt any changes would be made to actual infrastructure at this point. These were direct swap outs.

They'll put up sheets of plywood first, just like you're supposed to do in a hurricane.
Ahh the possibilities of what could have been in a ROE remake. Instead we get a flat water screen and moving arms…. Big wow moment there
As I've OFTEN said, the globe could have been easily rebuilt using a newer much more high res (and lightweight) led panel and it could have wrapped the whole globe.. the "mapping" to knock out the contents etc, could be all done thru playback.
Just that one simple change would have been enough for them to keep that show going another 10 years at least.
MAYBE that and take the existing barges and plop some new fountains on them.. that's all it needed.
