FL doesn't report daily, or over the weekend, so those days will always be 0, and when the numbers are reported again, it will be basically for 3+ days worth.

The numbers for the state are usually reported to the CDC daily. Where do you see they are not?

Nevertheless, those going to the hospital, ending up on vents, or dying or not the ones who are vaccinated. The bottom line remains the same. Get vaccinated. It works.

I agree. I just like to see correct values. Because we need to trust the numbers they claim to be true.

FL doesn't PUBLISH daily or over the weekend. They're still reporting numbers for each day to the CDC.

I don't remember if they fill in all at once, once a week. But, I thought I had been seeing daily numbers updated more often than once a week on the CDC site for FL.

The numbers for the state are reported to the CDC daily. Where do you see they are not?

From the NYT; every blank period is a weekend, and the corresponding Monday/Tuesday is a large jump.

I know that FL publishes once a week, not sure if the CDC publishes FL's numbers once a week either. Basically I don't know if they update their information daily, or retroactively. However, I HIGHLY HIGHLY doubt that FL really didn't have a single case for two days straight, so I am sure the low numbers over the weekend were partially a result of FL's missing numbers.

Wouldn’t that be due to lack of reporting over the weekend? It boggles the mind to believe that cases drop that dramatically over two days.

Look at the previous weekends. It’s the best weekend in over a month.

The graph I posted is from the CDC, M-F were the highest on the graph, but Sat-Sun the lowest so of course the week numbers are up. However, something changed, is this data lag, is it an anomaly or is it the start of a new trend? I don’t know, just thought it was interesting and a break from the sky is falling posts.

This is probably a data issue - look at the states on the CDC site - many say 0 new cases yesterday.

Because the CDC is not showing the data for the weekend in many, but not all states.

My concern if I understand correctly the State has taken away cities towns and counties ability to issue mask mandates and etc, thats why the Mayor of Orlando cant re-issue a mask mandate for inside buildings and is having to beg businesses to ask people to wear them again. W*F?

I really hope when this is truly over we can all get together in Epcot and share some laughs over some food and beverage.
