No I’m saying if the state said that’s the only way Disney could be open then it‘s not really Disney’s choice unless they opted to close down. Disney did chose to remain closed to out of state guests from re-opening to June 15 now instead of asking for proof of vaccination. Sea World and Universal both opted to allow out of state guests in while requiring proof of vaccination. It’s irrelevant at this point since the state didn’t require it, but would have been interesting to see how they reacted.
I'm sure foreign guests ( ie Mexico ) may be visiting SW and UO since "vaccine tourism " is making a comeback. There was a time when vaccine tourism was frowned upon since it was taking away opportunity for locals to get vaccinated. Since there is a disturbing trend that some locals do not want to get vaccinated enter - vaccine tourism making a comeback.
Is the Mexican border open yet for tourism? I had heard sometime in June they planned to open it. I guess people can always fly in as long as they have a negative covid test.

I think it’s ridiculous more states aren’t doing more to bring more people in. There are a handful of states now using these lotteries and they appear to be working to some extent. There are still 10 states with 40% or less of their total populations vaccinated. There needs to be much more effort made by the government in those places. They will likely never get to 60-70% of the total population vaccinated but 40% is a real problem.
Why don’t you post a chart with the state vaccination levels?
Don't worry about Georgia. I think most people around here have built their immunity the hard way. When you personally know around 75% of coworkers actually tested positive over the past year, it seems easier to explain the low positivity.

The tough way for some. We had a few in the ICU and one personal acquaintance in the operating HQ passed away. I honestly believe a lot of them would rather take their chances with the virus. I think there are some people either politically motivated or anti-vaxx who will never get the vaccine no matter what. A lottery ticket or a donut or whatever isn’t getting them to change their minds. It’s the rest of the unvaccinated who aren’t opposed to the vaccine but also aren’t in a huge hurry to get the vaccine who may be enticed by the carrots.
I don’t work for nasa and MIT would never ever confuse me for a fellow student or employee but I can save you a lot of time and money on polls and surveys and probably explain pretty quickly why some states are low and going to stay low and others going to exceed the numbers for vaccinations.
