Think about it. Its no longer part of the esplanade music. Its no longer a part of the carousel. why would they have it in Critter Country still? You will only hear it on the ride itself when he park re-opens. then that will be taken a way too for good when they shut it down for the re-theme.

Your reasoning is not wrong. But just seems illogical to have it playing on the ride but not right outside of the ride.

This does have me worrying that if they do end up doing something tacky (akin to WDW’s Jungle Cruise), like putting up scaffolding in the finale scene and playing ambient noise as logs full of passengers wiz by the active construction areas, I’d rather they just close the ride for however long is required.
I thought it was tacky that they had the scaffolding up on ToT and during the early days of MBO too, but in DL’s case the park should be fine with capacity even if Splash is down.

It’s like every single day there’s a new piece of news about the U.S. Disney parks that lessens my interest in visiting them anymore. Almost like they’re deliberately trying to destroy everything good about them.

They keep hyping up Mickey's Runaway Railway when they bring up the retheme, because it's got the same team of Imagineers, I believe. And that ride looks mediocre at best. Not exactly a confidence-builder.
I doubt the Magic Kingdom's will be, though. Apparently, they're afraid to refurbish Space Mountain even though it needs to be refurbished because the park already has low capacity.
Of course, in the movie the tree isn't on top of a mountain...

In all fairness they are responding to something you posted 2 weeks ago.
As for the concept art it is just that, concept art. It doesn't mean that is what will be the final outcome. We all know from past experience that the concept art (at least in modern times) is usually not 100% representative of the final product.
So who knows it might turn out better than current expectations. Obviously there are strong feelings on both sides, and I do see both sides. I just urge everyone to try and see both sides. Doing so may ease the pain for some, and may provide more understanding for others.
A little more peace amongst Disney Fans would be nice.

That’s my main problem with this whole thing. Magic Kingdom.
I can see why Tiana and PATF could use more Parks representation, and I can support that. But I think Disney decided to kill two birds with one stone and also retheme Splash.
At Disneyland, this would at least make sense thematically. The park doesn’t have a lot of space, and the attraction is right next to a pre-existing New Orleans area. I hate seeing Splash go, but I can see the reasoning.
At Magic Kingdom, however, Splash Mountain is in Frontierland. Princess and the Frog in Frontierland? Really? The IP belongs in Fantasyland, or maaaaybe Liberty Square if you made the “New Orleans square equivalent” argument. But Frontierland just doesn’t make sense to me at all. It feels like an excuse to retheme Splash, which is disappointing.

I agree it seems silly at first. But as long as the scale isn't off I don't think it'll actually look tacky.
I understand your opinion regarding the whole thing, and how you and others are against it no matter what. However looking at this from neutral eyes I can see it being ok overall. Chick-A-Pin Hill already has a tree on top of it, so its just adding a boat into it. And as I said as long as the scale is done correctly I don't think it'll be overpowering and tacky.
So we'll just have to wait and see, maybe I'll be wrong and take back what I just said. Or maybe it'll actually turn out ok. Only time will tell.

There's some unused space in the Magic Kingdom's Frontierland, right? Near Big Thunder Mountain Railroad? They should just use that space to make a small "New Orleans bayou"-themed land and build a Princess and the Frog ride THERE. Or tear out the Princess Fairytale Hall and stick it THERE.

Disney announces Tiana ride being canceled for a Western River Ride with singing cacti. I can certainly see it happening!
