Last time I was there it didn't seem that they were really allowing people to just go in and take a break at a table. It felt like we had to trick them to bring ice cream sundaes from whatever Mrs. Potts is called now to eat in Cosmic Ray's (it was quite hot outside that day).We have that same rule for restaurants in my state. It makes sense for waiting or standing in line to get in, but no one is pulling masks up and down while they're eating. I think they may be having a problem with people in counter service locations sitting at tables waiting for their food or taking breaks at the tables without actually dining. Like everything else, I suspect it will be enforced if they see people trying to get around the rules, but not carried to the point of absurdity.
I don't think the new policy is meant to have people pulling masks up and down between bites like you're supposed to do on an airplane by the letter of the stupid new rules which I don't think any airline is enforcing to that degree. It seems to be meant to discourage long pre and post meal discussions.
I believe the rule is the same in Broward County and I've yet to be in one restaurant that enforces masks while you are seated at a table.
