Seems strange they’d use hinges to attach non-functional windows and doors.

EDIT: Another member pointed out that those are brackets, not hinges!

We would go 2-3 times a month back in late 70’s. Was the best place for high schoolers who didn’t have money to go to WDW. I was fortunate to be going to Disney from 72 but others were not so spent a lot of time at great adventure.

Yup, us too...I grew up in north Jersey, on Fridays & Saturdays during the summer, 1 weekend would be Great Adventure, 1 weekend the Seaside boardwalk. Back then AP's were less than 50.00, and they were open until midnight. We used to pile 8 of us into my '72 Olds 98 (no seat belts), chip in 5.00 each for gas and head on down...aah, the good 'ol days...

Saw this in person today.
Looks rather nice, but I have to admit I am curious as to what it's purpose is.

Food storage for certain residents in that particular area...?
CM refuge in case the rhinos get rowdy...?

Oh wait...catching up on my reading now.
So likely a new animal being introduced to this area, and this structure is a part of that.
Looking forward to seeing how it all comes together.
