Maybe early on a Sunday morning (minimal traffic), you could take this "what's old is new again" set of wheels out for a fast spin!! Apparently, the Ford Mach 1 Mustang did not die, sometime after its introduction in 1969 -- it's on the spring 2021 "new" cars list for Ford! :p

P.S.: Normally, I would also call attention to this car to @Mr Ferret 88 , but I think there's a smidge too much hp for his little island, and he might get jealous. :D

Plus the cursing in music bothers me. Hamilton it's very occasional, but the music is also telling a story, and the cursing is part of the story. I came from a house where cursing is just not a thing. My younger brother is on the autism spectrum and doesn't really understand when it's appropriate to use a word verses when it's not, so though he won't repeat a word he's heard in a movie or TV show, if he started hearing us curse, he'd start doing it, and not always at appropriate times. My parents didn't really curse much before that anyway. I was shocked one time when the f-bomb came out of my dad's mouth, and it was in reference to something someone else had said. My mom and I, if we're really frustrated or angry, will say "s-t", but it takes a lot (ex. spilling diet mountain dew on your keyboard... :rolleyes: ). It's so infrequent in my house that I don't want to hear it in my music. I'll sometimes watch movies or TV shows with a lot of cursing, but if something's rated TV-MA or R, I keep it in my room just in case. Cursing is such a turn off for me; even if there's a guy I might be interested in, if I hear the f-bomb, that's the end of that.

I have a hard time saying swear words. My choir sings Pink's Raise Your Glass, and I, being the only native speaker, get to do the "Oh, s***, my glass is empty" bit. A found that HILARIOUS when they came to a concert, because I normally don't swear. My husband does it for shock value to the kids. Like...if I'm really mad about someone at the grocery store having been a complete jerk, and I'm telling the story, when I say the guy was a jerk, my husband will chime in with a-hole, just to make the kids laugh.

We have had many discussions with A about not saying words if he doesn't know what they mean. There was something, I don't even remember what the word was, but he heard it on a youtube video and he started saying it. So I asked him if he knew what it meant, and he said no. So I explained it, and he was shocked, so I told him that we shouldn't say words if we don't know what they mean. And also, a lot of dutch kids use American swear words...our neighbor girl is like 8 and swears like a sailor....in English, though she's Turkish and doesn't speak English otherwise. So A would start talking like his friends and we had a discussion that those kids don't speak English....they don't understand that it's inappropriate language. And I told him that when we went to the states, if he talked like that, people would be really upset. He hadn't realized he was saying anything he shouldn't. He's better about it now.

I can't stand to listen to Adelle (too shouty and too much scooping), Josh Groban (too nasaly), Katie Melua (stupid lyrics and whiny voice), Shakira (too glottal), or Alicia Keys (can't sing in tune). And I don't listen to rap because I don't like the swearing.

I have wood floors at home and when I picked up doing yoga I found that mats that are specified as yoga mats are just to thin for any comfort (for my old and at that time really out of shape body now I'm just average out of shape) so I bought a thicker mat that was branded as a generic workout mat, it is about a 1/2 inch thick and I like it. I don't know how yoga mats that are paper thin are useful.

My dad worked for GM, so by default, I'm a GM girl. I've never had any issues though (knock on wood)

Yes...but the meme is still funny.

Hope that guy shops during high risk hours if that's the case. Target drive up has also been great for avoiding contact. Although @Dead2009 thinks I'm just being lazy. 😁

I'm a GM/Chevrolet gal, I got brainwashed into liking them by Disney. The old World of Motion attraction was sponsored by GM and like Test Track now there was a car showcase at the end and my dad liked cars so we always spent time looking at them. So to a kid who loved Disney I associated it as a Disney brand!:happy: My sister-in-law is an engineer and works for GM and yet I still like the brand. :hilarious:

Are they still doing special hours for high risk people there? They stopped that a month ago here. And people are really not paying attention to the regulations and such. I hate grocery shopping now because there's always someone who gets up right next to you, inches from you, either to get something off the same shelf you are getting something from, or at the register. No one is willing to wait even a few seconds for you to be out of their way so they can get what they want without contact.

My husband has noted quite often that people from other countries curse in English. They will speak in their native tongue, but when it comes to cursing will curse in English. What is funny is that I really do not curse, but I don't have a problem cursing in German. It's almost like, well, it's a foreign language so it's ok to curse in it. :hilarious:

I think they are done with that by me. But you can order online and they will bring it to your car if you want.
