@donaldtoo , sorry to hear that SXSW is cancelled for Austin. :( (But, I think it's understandable at this point in time.)
My oldest son is freaking out ( he always thinks the worst) his wife has to fly to Phoenix AZ next week for a conference something she can't get out of. Hopefully they will cancel it. His concern is for his wife and they have a 2 year old and 6 month old.

There was a Biogen conference, from Feb. 24-27 at the Marriott Long Wharf hotel in Boston.

Boston health officials announced yesterday, that from that conference, there are 3-4 presumptive cases of COVID-19. Those people are under medical care, and so far, are not getting worse. (I believe all were out-of-state attendees and had flown into the city.)

Anyone who attended the conf. is asked to stay in home quarantine. (There were about 175 attendees.)

(It's unclear yet from reports, if any hotel workers were affected in any way.)

My son is in Gulf Breeze Fl and they have a case in a Pensacola hospital now which is right down the road from them. Daughter in law's conference will be attended by people from all over the country. I hope she chooses to stay home, they told her if she doe not attend she will be removed from some committee she is on ---my view so be it.

HATE this. Have always hated this. The whole two-times a year changeover is arcane and serves no purpose at all. And oh yah -- all the extra car accidents that happen across the country, for about the first 1-2 weeks of the changeover.

I keep praying that the law will be changed to just ONE time for the whole year. (I know it comes up every year to try and amend the rule. Some states up here promoted legislation to change to Atlantic Standard Time year-round, but it didn't pass -- yet.)
I like more light in the summer.

I have a friend who is a nurse at our local hospital. She says the ones who are passing from this virus have all been medically compromised. She said it is the same with those who pass from the flu. Wash your hands often and don’t touch your face. I carry sanitizer with me and as soon as I leave a store use it. But then, I have been doing that for a few years now.
