Yes. Bought a kit at Target. It was lots of fun!

T wants to do this for Market Day, this big entrepreneur project that he’ll be at Disney during the presentation itself.. but has a partner and still working on it.
They were originally going to do soap, but now someone else is.

Here’s the catch- each kid is only allowed to spend $5 on the project for supplies- totaling $10 between T and his partner.

How are we going to make 40 bouncy balls with $10????

You may already have the ingredients at home.

OMG tell me about it I walk to the garage to get something and when I get to the garage I forgot what I went for. Now if i could just forget how old I am

Used to happen to us all the time when I was a CM at our local Disney Store from ‘09-‘13.
So many times I walked from Onstage through the door to Backstage and, all of a sudden, couldn’t remember what the hell I went back there to retrieve...we used to call it MDS (Magical Door Syndrome)...!!!!! :hilarious:

Proof to the saying "they don't make things like they used to" My son's boss was asked by a friend if he wanted anything out of 2 old houses (probably from the 30's maybe earlier). The houses were on property donated to the Nature Conservancy and were being torn down. They were working in NC over the weekend and went by where the houses were and loaded up a trailer with lumber old sinks and a 1951 International Harvester refrigerator that had fallen through the rotted floor and was on the ground (upright). They got back yesterday and plugged it in guess what--- It works --other than dirty on the inside and rusty outside (could be painted) the freezer is working and and the inside is cold as the new one I have in my house. A 69 year old refrigerator that who knows when it was last running I'm just amazed and they can't make one now that lasts 10 years -----That's progress Ha Ha--- Might add one of the houses is a Sears and Roebuck house -- Sears used to sell kit houses. Just one example of many styles sold View attachment 453714

A 1951 IH fridge that still works...yep, “They don’t make ‘em like they used to” DEFINITELY applies here...!!!!! :hilarious:
And yes, I’m old enough to know about the Sears & Roebuck kit homes...!!! :)

So story on this one:

I bought the tickets waaayyyy in advance for this. My mom and I have now been to see Les Miserables and Hamilton just the two of us. We usually only go to see the Disney ones as a family. So when Wicked came, we assumed it would just be us.

Yeah, so my dad saw a Billboard for it whole he and my mom were driving to a Ravens game and said, "Oh, that one might be interesting to go see." This was after we'd bought the tickets. She was like uhhhhhh....we offered to get him and B tickets nearby, but he didn't go for it. So for about a week now, and just now upon getting home, we've had to hear about how he wasn't invited.

Lesson learned: invite Dad next time. 😂

That is the policy with most orthodontists. Initial consults are free. When you get your $6k plus bill, the free first visit won't look that great anymore. 🙄

Yep, back in about the mid-ish 2001’s, for about 3 years, we ended up paying about 3K for Megan’s braces...!!!!!!! :eek:o_O;)
But, our other 2 kiddos never needed braces, and, as y’all’ve seen in many pics, Megan’s teeth are perfect...!!!!!

I decided to call and ask. They don’t bill at all until more is needed. That’s so strange to me. Maybe the dentist gives a kickback? Who knows, I definitely didn’t.lol

The 4 extractions are scheduled at the dentist for the 31st of this month. They had availability this week, but it has to be during school hours, I can’t take him out during IOWA testing. He will have 6 teeth missing when the 4 get pulled, although 1 is finally starting to come in.

Eeek. My Sis lives in Ohio also and is an attorney. I knew kickbacks were illegal here but she says they are also illegal in Ohio.. Kickbacks are Worse when insurance fraud is involved. If you suspect this you might consider different doctors. Did the dentist recommend that particular orthodontist?

But anywho...my DD started by an oral surgeon removing some baby teeth and some God given extra teeth, I had them too as a kid, gene pool thing. The Oral Surgeon was covered her Dads Health Insurance and cost little. The co-pay with Dental Insurance would have cost more to have the same teeth removed and the cap yearly for dental. You might want to check the prices out of pocket between Dental Insurance and Medical Insurance.

My DD started the Ortho when she was 8 years old. She has a slender face and a bottom jaw that that was not forward enough for teeth to mesh correctly top to bottom. She wore an appliance that was attached to her back teeth that exercised her jaw forward as she ate and spoke. It corrected what is referred to mostly in men as a weak chin.

After that she went onto braces in Middle School. Many orthodontists in her era of 2000 were into a 2 phase braces. On in elementary school. Off a few years and back on again after growth. Her Ortho didn't believe in moving teeth twice, he believed it weakened the roots too much.

For us the invoicing started when her appliance was attached. They worked with Dental Insurance, It depended basically on how the plan paid, monthly, yearly or flat allowance per person on policy. Her Dads company has very good health insurance 100% paid by the firm and the Dental Plan was equally as good for orthodontist. At best it was below the Maximum top out. If T's Dentist is going to take a bit of time you might want to evaluate the best dental plan for T's needs for 2021, gamble if Pre-existing conditions are allowed to be excluded by possible new rulings. Possibly a more expensive plan might be the better plan that actually covers more of what he will require. Health Insurance these days is like a darn chess game when picking plans. :cautious: And some firms offer better dental and than others. *bangs head*

Hope that helps.
