Seeing that Yeti in all its glory makes me sad that all I have ever seen of it is the disco version of itself, that animatronic is amazing and so wasted with those strobes on it

Posted today, good channel, good video, with lots of footage of the working yeti. Most if it has been shared in this thread over the years but its nice to see it all in one place.

It's a pretty good video, too bad it perpetuates many of the false rumors like how the mountain would have to be taken apart to fix the big lug.

He didn't perpetuate it, he said it was one of two major rumors, the other being "its an easy fix but Disney doesn't want to spend the money" which is more accurate. It would be relatively easy but costly.

As of March 22, 2019, both waterfalls and the yeti were working. There was no steam or fog though.

I think you're mistaken about the yeti. I was just there last week and the yeti is just hanging there, getting strobed as you flash by.

I promise you, the yeti wasn't moving. You wouldn't have been the only person to notice and report it.

Strobes, my apologies, I was genuinely convinced that it was moving. Either way both of waterfalls were working.

i don't understand how a thread like the "skyliner" thread can talk about all this other stuff and keep going, but this thread doesn't . For example: if they fix the yeti, isn't it likely that it will swing its arm, hit a person knocking them into some water somewhere near it where the alligators/crocodiles will eat that person? No one ever complains about the lack of AC on the coaster either.

I wonder what will come first, and which would be better: Replacement for Chester and Hester, or a yeti-fixing refurbishment for Everest. Both have been a loooong time coming...
