I have an unrelated to anything question to ask. Since I am older then dirt and don't really get out all that much. Does anyone know what is going on with distilled water? I have a need for distilled water for my C-pap machine and have easily purchased it for years. I have noticed the last few weeks that distilled water is leaving the store shelves at the speed of light. Drinking water is going at what seems like a regular pace, but, places like Walmart that put out over 20 feet of industrial sized shelving have been sold out in just days after it is filled up completely. Is there any fad that people have heard of that uses distilled water as it's base. Is it being used as drinking water because it contains no minerals, but, is basically tasteless. Nobody ever sends me the memos on this stuff and I am curious.

A lot of what we sell is for people to use in steam irons. It doesn't clog up the device.

No clue. I don't think you are supposed to drink distilled water because of the lack of minerals. It could wreak havoc with our cells. I know people use it for water in irons. No idea why there is a run on it.

Most likely because people use them in humidifiers. Humidifier use goes up with heat use. Sorry but if I was you I'd stock up when you see it.

I wondered about that because my use is basically as a humidifier, but, man that is an expensive way to moisturize. Not that a gallon of distilled water is very expensive (somewhere between 75cents and $1.00 per gallon, but, still that can add up.
