It’s not clear whether Disney has decided to extend or end the pilot, but it does seem some CM’s are saying it is ending. A decision must have been made as reservations are obviously open past October 15 at this point.

More of a hassle than what it was deemed worth, I'm sure.

Yeah, I did not schedule 9 months in advance to pay top $$ to smell some dog's pee.
WDW has a top notch animal care center to watch your pet if you are travelling around the country with them.

As I've said earlier in the thread, if you need an emotional support animal (not a true service animal) to get through your WDW trip, OR you just want to have snoogieboogie with you, you need to re-evaluate your travel plans.

If they're ending it for good, my guess would be that the program did not create a big enough increase in occupancy and/or revenue to justify dealing with guests complaining about it.

Just wondering - did you have any experience with it? Did you stay at any of the pet friendly resorts?Did you take your dog? Encounter any on the resort grounds? Hear any barking coming from rooms?

Unless I missed it, as I stopped caring that much once I was finally able to transfer out of POR, there really were very few first-hand reports (either positive or negative) during this experiment.
