From the Orlando Sentinel:

The new “Character Couture” makeover packages — for visitors age 4 and up — are now available. ... These aren’t your run-of-the-mill Disney makeovers, where you walk out dressed as a princess. Instead, Character Couture makeovers involve intricate hairdos — each customized to the customer — and elaborate eye makeup with a pop of color on the cheeks and lips. ... Character styles offered by select Disney World salons include princesses, princes, villains, fab five, “galactic” styles and “hero/heroine” styles — but these makeovers are customized, so guests can request any character under the Disney realm. ...
The packages are offered in three tiers:
  • Storybook Style (includes hair — you’ll get plenty of bobby pins to take home as souvenirs as a bonus),
  • Magical Makeover (includes hair and makeup and takes about an hour and a half to complete, so plan accordingly) and
  • Timeless Transformation (includes hair, makeup and nails). Note: Makeup only includes eyes, cheeks and lips, and there is an extra charge for foundation and contouring.
Pricing depends on the age group, with child makeovers for ages 4-14 and adult makeovers for all other ages. The cost for the makeovers ranges from $50 for a Storybook Style child package to $120 for a Timeless Transformation adult package.
Character Couture makeovers are currently offered at
  • Ivy Trellis Salon at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa;
  • La Vida Health Club at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort;
  • Ship Shape Massage Salon Fitness at Disney’s Yacht Club and Beach Club resorts; and
  • Salon by the Springs at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.

Will they allow Two-Face transformations? I want my right side to be Belle, and my left side Mulan geisha style!

Look there she goes, that girl is French, no question
her face disjointed, can't you tell?
Never part of any crowd
A kimono is her shroud
No denying she's a funny girl that Mu-elle

I’m going to want to see some results (like what the Maleficent hair style ended up looking like, because all I’m thinking of is the horns)

Wow, you guys never heard of Disney bounding?? that's all this is.

For those who have not, Disney bounding is when you dress and make up to look like a disney character but not with a costume. so if you wanted to channel Winnie the pooh.

Honestly, I think this is pretty cool. Pricey, but cool.

I missed my chance of getting to be a princess when I was a kid because well...bad backstory and all. Now adults can get a chance to do this? Heck yeah!

Might send me a little more in debt, but who isn't in debt these days!

Why not? Adults are just kids trying to be maturer kids. Just because we get older doesn't mean we have to stop playing pretend.

Besides, getting pampered ins't a bad thing. It actually makes you feel somewhat regenerated.

My personal opinion is a certain lack of “economic maturity” has really hurt all consumers in the swamp for the last 10 years or so. This falls into those general parameters for me. Just an opinion.

As far as the joke goes...if I had said “sorority function”...which was the visual I had...nobody would have blinked. That joke went down the chute obviously...my bad.

Wow the amount of make up on these women gives Trixie Mattel a run for her money.

this kinda proves my point...isn’t this a tad over the silly line?

It was a tad tongue in cheek...but dress up makeovers for adults?

I shall edit.

lol, well I wouldn't suggest it for a day at the office but it would be fun for vacation time. Now as far as economic maturity?? If you think about it the entire "going to disney" would classify as a serious lack of it but then again my brothers and a couple of their buddies dropped almost 5 grand for super bowl packages (we're in Philly) had an awesome time and if my college student sons could have gotten their mitts on my credit card would have seriously thought about the risks associated with going also.

As my 100 year old aunt would say, the object of life is not to be the "richest guy in the coffin"
My vote, no harm no foul. no different than dropping wads on wishes ice cream thingy.

Did you see the video?

That wouldn’t look good anywhere...but it is what it is. I’m sure I’ll get my chance to judge it in person at Be Out Guest or Chef Mickeys...if I ever went there.

Carry on.

I Disney bounded my whole last trip. It was super fun and the characters I dressed as were really happy to see it!
