To avoid confusion on the Stanza V main thread, this will be a thread dedicated to workshopping

Carowinds projects. All teammates are invited to help out!

Your park expert is @Magic Feather. Other presently involved include @AceAstro, @DisneyFan18, and @DisneyManOne.

I’ll let Feather discuss the project further. Have fun!

Since Magic Feather might be dealing with life at the moment, here's where things stand so far with Carowinds.

We're talking about using this park as a place where Disney IPs can be handled differently (like with higher thrills or a different tone) than is possibly in Disney Parks.

One project involves converting the wooden coaster Hurler into a new RMC wood/steel hybrid coaster, one with high-quality theming and storytelling around it. The Thrill Zone area around Hurler (which includes Fury 325) would support this new IP theme.

Initially the plan was to do Marvel, but I've just now realized that Disney cannot create Marvel attractions east of the Mississippi. So instead let's consider a Star Wars theme. Here's a video of Twisted Timbers from Kings Dominion, and RMC conversion very similar to what is being proposed for Carowinds' Hurler.

The other project concerns creating a new Muppets land which can be a tongue-in-cheek parody of other famous theme parks. We're still discussing where this would go, if it would be a retheme of Camp Snoopy, of the Carolina Boardwalk area, or someplace else.

And alternate proposal which hasn't gained much traction (but is worth considering) is to do a Peanuts E-ticket or a few Peanuts C-tickets.

Maybe we can retheme the Boardwalk to the Muppets, add a whip ride, and retheme the Carolina Cyclone to add show scenes for around 350M. Add a Peanuts C-Ticket for 50M. And transform Dinosaurs Alive into Star Wars: Space Port, with a brand new enclosed Coaster for 500M? And leave 100M for general refurbishments?

I will say the cyclone is really short. Don't know the exact time offhand, but once your through the loops and corkscrews, it's over.

Looking at a Google Maps version of the map, gave a better idea of the work we have to do, and it’s definitely more than I expected, Dinosaurs Alive might be a good location for Snoopy’s Dark Ride. The Boardwalk need a lot of work, and will take a good chunk of the backstage/administrative area. And if we want to create an immersive Star Wars Land, it would have to take the rest of the backstage area, and a little bit more. How does that sounds? D, do you think you can help me with a picture of the google map with the areas I said marked? I’m on my phone, and nowhere close to my computer (it’s literally in another city...)

I could make that in maybe an hour. Right now my computer is only a few city blocks away.

Red is Camp Snoopy. Orange is Dinosaurs Alive. Note there's a roller coaster, Intimidator, behind that.

Purple is the Carolina Boardwalk area, plus some of the nearby backstage.

Blue is the Thrill Zone area including the Hurler wooden coaster. Nearby but not within this circle are Fury 325 (world's best coaster!) and a big river rapids ride. All that area, give or take, was where I had in mind for Star Wars (centered around an RMC conversion of Hurler), but I'm curious to see what you guys can think of.

Trash Dinosaurs alive, I honestly think it's the worst concept alive. That might be a fun area for the Muppets Area. Its small but you could expand into the parking lot with a the addition of a parking garage. (Cheaper in Carolina to build than Florida) and it can be the notion that the Muppets set up tent under a Roller Coaster to up there street creed, like the people sell "Fake goods" outside concerts.

What if we do a Snoopy's Red Baron E-ticket attraction similar to what we see with "The Dragon" at Legoland:

Or something similar to the Sleeping Beauty's Mine Train Coaster from Stanza 1 where it is some dark ride scenes and then ends with a coaster section which in this case could be trying to Snoopy and the guests trying to chase down (escape?) the Red Baron.

I could see that working, I don't know much of Snoopy, beyond the basics, but I do think that this would work as really neat attraction.

This sounds like a good idea, I'm honestly torn between this and the Boardwalk area, I might lean more towards the Boardwalk as that definitely need a lot of help (it doesn't even have some visible water-y area!), and we can use that area for Ace's idea for Snoopy E?

I keep forgeting about the Boardwalk area there. That would be epic than use Dino Alive for Snoopy
