Some pictures from our run away to Atlan
If anyone hasn’t been on a flying coaster.. here’s why I freaked out..

You leave the station like this, on your back. We were in the very first row.

Then you go up the hill and can’t see anything except for the sky above you..

Then you SLOWLY start to go down the first hill, on your back.. your whole body slides and pushes against the shoulder restraints while you’re head first., that’s the first time I freaked out that he would slide out.

Then you twist face first staring at the ground “flying” and continue on like that, then flipping back and forth. Now your body weight is literally all pushed against the restraints, back no longer touching the seat.
See the leg restraints? I kept thinking that his legs were too small and must have come loose.. I was a hot mess, no question.
I’ll do better next time. ;)

And that is why I don’t do coasters! 😱

Inspections are going to be slowing up Southwest's flights for well over a month, according to what I heard on the news this morning.

Not really related, but the de Havilland reference made me recall a flight I had (as a passenger) ages ago in a much smaller, Twin Otter prop plane (up near Burlington, VT). One of the engines had to be shut down in flight, and the pilot flew it on one engine into the airport. Again, this was a long time ago, but I could have sworn I saw the logo of the distinctive RR (Rolls Royce) engines, from my window on this plane. Found an article about the aircraft, but couldn't find mention of the RR engines. It may be that maybe some went through a few different engines over a period of time--my guess only. (P.S.: the local regional airline, Air North, is no longer in service--bought out by Brockway, Piedmont and others.)

This engine was different. Built by General Electric in conjunction with a French company (CFM Engines Partnership)

She’s wearing a dress and heels. Oh, my heart goes out to her.. ;)

The dress and heels is the LEAST of her struggles having royal babies. She's been basically pregnant since the day they got married, lol, and she gets HG every single time. I have never met a woman who didn't legit feel like she would die while having HG. Like, kudos to her for stepping up to her role and procreating for the royal family, but man,..... if I had HG one time, I'd be cutting the reproductive system off, LOL

I was kind of surprised they had a third one after she had the challenges with her first two. Thought they would be done once they had the heir and the spare.

The Prince probably has the same attitude as the rest of the male royalty, and can't contain himself no matter how much suffering his wife goes through. Born with wealth and privilege but absolutely no concern for others. However, that said, she looked pretty healthy for a person that went through that during her pregnancy, had a kid just yesterday. I don't know how many women could clean up that good for the next day. She must be tough.

Another fun texting and driving story. Luckily for me the weather is nice and I was out most of today but on my way back from a store I saw a power line down and when I got home the note read the power was on and off. I hope we don't get shut off when the new pole goes in later. My neighbor said something and at least the "genius" admitted to his mistake.
