@StarWarsGirl I get a new computer today too! But it's a work computer and I hate when I have to transition to a new one. It's so much work just to get it back up and running!
So glad you made it through your surgery and that things are much better now.I joined this site when I was in mid mental breakdown..sorta.. I had just had surgery on my face and couldn’t look at myself in the mirror without crying. That may sound vain, but it was a really tough time for me. Cancer scare was bad enough, and I’m thankful it’s gone..but omg.. my face after the surgery.. it was horrendous. I’m still scarred and a little deformed, but no where near as bad as it was for the first few months and even year.
So, at the same time.. and I think one of the first threads I posted in, was about the alligator attack (don’t want to rehash it, just using for reference).. I posted a lot (still do..but even more those first few days/weeks).. anyway.. I didn’t realize that a “new member” wasn’t supposed to have opinions.
Sometimes I probably did sound too harsh.. unintentionally, but I’m sure it looked like a bombardment onto an already “formed” community. That’s how people took it anyway..and unfortunately I had way too much time on my hand those few weeks.
There’s some cool peeps here.. one has been a chat buddy thru some tough times, and even mailed Disney Mickey head shampoo for my elf on the shelf! Amazing, right?! I’m “newish” to This thread, and everyone here seems really wonderful.
One thing I severely dislike about the Internet (or life general) is when people lash out with a personal attack, or are just rude for no apparent reason.. that’s what it looked like you were doing, in my honest opinion. However, you’re right, we don’t know what’s going on with you.. and maybe it was a mistake. So, cheers to mistakes, and apologies accepted![]()
I also thought that Disney didn't allow the menu deliverers at the hotels as well. Such horrible people. You can't let your guard down nowadays for even a minute.Yah, that one has been around for a number of years. It was really an issue in some of the hotels on Hotel Plaza Boulevard, as the (pizza leaflet) people had much easier access to the guest room floors. (From what I've heard, the hotels on site at WDW had a bit better security, and these people were spotted from time to time--and kicked off property.) This was some time ago, so I don't know if that is still the case.
Just got off the phone with sister, they’re heading to HS now for JTA signups.
Apparently several attractions were Walk Ons at MK last night! Even their castle photos aren’t a sea of people.
I’ve never experienced that!
I hope so! They left MK around 4 yesterday, then went back at 8. Rode several rides and watched the fireworks. Left at 11:30.AWESOME!!! Hopefully this will hold for their whole trip!!
Yeah, PC refreshes at work are a pain. I got mine about a year ago (only a month into the job; they gave me a PC they never should have given me; it was in lousy condition) We're doing a bunch right now. They take about an hour of employees' time and they're a pain for IT. Do you have any idea how much work it is to make sure they get the proper licenses back? And then sorting through the computers to see which ones can be used again as loaners or for contractors and which should be recycled? Gigantic pain.@StarWarsGirl I get a new computer today too! She said the kids jumped up at 6am this morning ready to go. I told them to head to TSMM directly after JTA signups, hopefully the wait won’t be too bad.
Oh, one thing to note- they were told that for a Rider Swap on 7DMT that the whole party waits in line until you’re about to board. So, they didn’t get one. Sis took niece to another attraction instead.
Lastly, in the evening, the CMs let them stay on Barbstormer for 4 consecutive rides. T would love that!!!

I do hope they can get one for Star Tours and ToT. Or at least obtain a second set of FPs once the first 3 are finished.I've heard this go both ways, which is why I wouldn't factor it into my planning. Sometimes the whole party waits, sometimes they just have to show the baby, sometimes they just have to mention the baby. It's inconsistent.
Well, they have to, otherwise you'd get no work done that day...haha.They do a lot of the work "behind the scenes" so when they bring it this afternoon it should already have most of my documents and everything on it and have the right licenses. But yeah, it's a pain.
Unfortunately, its going to be my longest monday ever lol.
I agree.. dont do it.. you will end like me, stressed all the time lol.Slippery slope if you start checking work emails on the weekends . . .
That is still the case as far as 2016..I also thought that Disney didn't allow the menu deliverers at the hotels as well. Such horrible people. You can't let your guard down nowadays for even a minute.
Maybe she is the smart one.. avoiding the Disney addiction like a proI just called my mom and said “Look how much fun sis’s mil is having with the grandkids at Disney. Don’t you want to go with me and T?”
“No. I’ve told you a million times. I’ve put in my time at Disney with you 3. I have no desire to do it at this stage in my life.”
Gosh, my mother is so mean!!!![]()

Yeah, unfortunately I've got so much on my plate that I'm working overtime, so it's either work super long hours during the week or pick up some time at home, including an hour here and there on weekends. I'd prefer not to completely wear myself out on weekdaysSlippery slope if you start checking work emails on the weekends . . .
