Ain't that the truth.

There's one particular consultant at work who's been driving me absolutely bonkers lately. He's so extremely rude and makes issues of things that don't need to be made an issue of. For instance, a few months ago, I discovered he wasn't entering time in our timekeeping system, and he should have been. He was arguing about why he didn't have to do it. I nicely said to him that it was an oversight on his supervisor's part and that yes, he should have been entering time since he was there, so moving forward, he needs to because it's a Sarbanes Oxley compliance issue. He also didn't understand why he was the only member of his team that had to enter time, and I explained it's because he's the only member of his team who is acting as IT staff augmentation, so therefore, he's the only one. Two month later, he brings it up again, except with my boss and doesn't bother to loop me in. Then he has to go bother finance again, only for finance to tell him the exact same thing I told him two months before. I'm like, we're bringing this up again now because??? Oh, and the kicker was he kept emailing me to ask me how to enter time. A valid request, but I asked him several times to look at documentation and ask his team to show him because I had been out sick. He kept emailing me while I was out sick asking when I would meet with him (in person, because apparently Skype wasn't good enough for him). I finally told him I had bronchitis and was working part time from home until I was over it, so if he didn't want to use Skype, he would have to wait. He FINALLY got it at that point. I also told him if he wanted to meet in person, he had to come to me; I won't go traipsing around the building (I'd never get any work done otherwise). And he did.

Now he's been really demanding of my one coworker. He did the same thing to me once, where he called me and emailed me, and then got irritated because I didn't return the call within 45 minutes (I was in a meeting, which he could have seen from my Skype status). He's pushing on her more than he would have with me, though, because she's newer than me, so I would have very nicely explained how things work and that he is not my only assignment for the day. He thinks he can push her around. She's not taking any of his nonsense, although she's not being as firm with him as I would be. She had to loop me into an email today for me to explain exactly what she had been trying to tell him again. Which just wastes my time.

Oh, and then today, she was watching a training video, and he came by her desk and said, "Watching Netflix, are you?" :mad: Why would you even say that to someone? Coworker didn't understand what I was talking about when we first had to work with him and I warned her, but the other day she said to me, "Uh, yeah, I get it now."

Question though, Why are you guys using Skype for conversations at home? 🤣. Tell him you’re only going to answer him via the IM.. not video!

We typically just use audio and screen sharing. We don't use the video. I've used the video once since I've been with the company, and it was to show someone in the UK what I looked like. Then we went right back to screen sharing.

Ah ok., I thought he was requesting video not just messaging, to be “in person”. I’m glad he wasn’t!

The original Quaker Steak & Lube is a converted service station on the Shenango River that grew over the years. It's full of automotive and racing memorabilia.

There used to be a very popular restaurant around here many years ago called The Filling Station...which was also a converted.......filling station!!!!! :hilarious:
They only ever had the one location, but, it was good stuff...!!!
Lots of car memorabilia in there, too!
They had an adult beverage called a Tune Up that was pretty amazing...looked like antifreeze, but tasted awesome...!!! :hungry:
They also had a hamburger called the Atomic Bomb where the beef patty was just covered with mushrooms and cheese and an amazing sauce...it was definitely the bomb...!!!!!!! :joyfull::hungry:

Yep, I could go on and on about old cool Austin stuff, but, it ain't ever comin' back...at least not like it was...!

Why does he still work there anyway? sounds like a real case for everyone.
