Sweet Tomatoes by us closed, and I miss it. Chuy's is really yummy! And the Bahama Breeze that is right down the street from me...never been. We always say we should go, but it still hasn't happened.

*Edit* I just remembered Sweet Tomatoes had a club you could sign up for. Club Veg, I think? Anyway, they used to have some good coupons that would come up. Check the web site.

Yep. Did it and got a 25% off coupon, but it expires in 2 weeks so I will have to register with my other email a couple of days before we leave.

I really don't get the name. Originally I thought something X-rated then I thought it was a Jiffy Lube type of place with a restaurant attached.

The original Quaker Steak & Lube is a converted service station on the Shenango River that grew over the years. It's full of automotive and racing memorabilia.

I am trying to have 6 of us eat for less than $120. $100 would be ideal. I think we can do it if I share sides with 2 kids. We are not big eaters and we don’t do alcoholic drinks so there is a chance.

So I got a call from my daughter's principal that someone slugbugged her during hall exchange and she has a beet colored bruise on her arm. Of course it was crowded and she couldn't see who did it. Seven weeks of school left....seven weeks of school left....

I don’t kniw what that is, but I hope dd will be ok.

Yeah, there is some stupid thing going on with some boys doing it and then seeing if they can get away without being seen. The mark is almost four inches square so she got hit good.

Just awful. Kids need to know who is doing this. This is middle school?

Yep, I keep telling her she has 2 more years of middle school, 2 years of high school and then she'll be going into the culinary program at vocational school so it'll get better. She just hates middle school because she is an old soul. "Those kids drive me crazy!" is my answer to "How was your day?"

I'm at a tech conference today, had to drive on super icy Roads to get here. What should have been a 30 minute drive took an hour and 10. Hopefully this is worth it! The presenter is having some technical difficulties with a video though.

Not good if you had to drive on icy roads. I always worry when people have to drive on ice.

Our district paid kind of...our district got a grant for technology professional development and it pays for the conference and substitute teacher costs. Since I choose to drive my own car there is no gas or mileage paid. I could have driven a school van but I knew the roads were bad and felt more comfortable driving my own car.

Whoever is in charge at your school needs to put a stop to this twisted behavior--fast. Suspensions should be handed out if they catch the cowards doing this. If they do find the person or persons, I'd also like to see someone press charges. It's not a little prank at all--it's an assault.

Today is a once a month tradition at my elementary school.....it's called "Birthday Breakfast"
One grade level is assigned to bring in a variety of breakfast items....enough for the entire staff. I'm always hoping for a variety of doughnuts, yet most people are bagel fans.
How 'bout you guys? Do you prefer a good bagel or a good doughnut?

Mature beyond her age. I knew a few kids in high school that mostly hung out with older kids from local colleges, because they just weren't having enough intelligent conversations with their peers. The high school lifestyle is not for every kid.

I had NOOOO IDEA where "Sharon" was. But.....as usual, Mr. Google was up to the challenge!
Since I've now discovered that it is partway between Pittsburgh and Cleveland.....well I think I'll just experience it through the internet. The thought of my potential 9 hour drive seems a bit over the top
