To all who are curious, I changed our stay at Fort Wilderness. I re-booked for a campsite! Eeek! I decided on a trailer. I just need to put the deposit down. They were closed by the time I got off the phone with Disney, but I emailed and left a message. So we get a week on property for less than a week in the cabins and the price is comparable to the Double Tree I booked and the Cabins split stay. They also gave me the number for a golf cart rental company that is less expensive than Disney. When I get the trailer booked 100% I will link to pictureis of it. :)

I CANNOT WAIT TO READ THIS TRIP REPORT!!!!! This is so exciting!!

Just checked i to our hotel. There is wood tile in the bathroom. It is very pretty.

I like the big mirror and it is nice and bright. Not a fan of the walls. Not the beige either.
I think both photos are hideous...They changed everything except for the layout, I just can’t believe it. The second pic is definitely worse than the first.

Seems you're in for some very good savings!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that exactly what you got upset with Gabe for doing when you asked another member about the sports? In fact, I'm pretty sure that your words were something to the effect of "No one asked for your opinion". You didn't like that she responded to something you posted to someone else, (in a public thread, I might add) when she wasn't involved in that discussion. And now you are doing the EXACT same thing. And notice who HASN'T said anything in response to YOUR rant OR other members'? So who is it who is stirring the pot? I didn't take sides, just posted a reminder that we needed to be respectful of one another and play nice...I didn't get involved in the argument, but you couldn't let it calm down, you had to make sure everyone knows just how horrible of a person you think she is. And yes, it IS bullying. One person called her "dense", you said "That's just the kind of person you are" after making obvious little quips insulting her character. On a public forum, for everyone to see....embarrassing her publicly and trying to put people against her..that IS bullying.

Hi! And thanks. Always appreciated. Like I said last week I had an exciting and busy week. But thanks for the heads up, I will take the opportunity to skip all that. It just sounds icky. So this is what I did instead of all that....

I mentioned we were gifted a great educational tea at the University of Chicago this week that honored women in history and their accomplishments over the last few centuries and present. It was an engaging tea, very well presented and an awesome experience. A great moment in Woman in History Month. I highly recommend to parents that have daughters or sons they want to raise to acknowledge woman, their importance to society or their individual accomplishments to the world.

Long planned out we were leaving our little hamlet for a few days and hitting the Lovely Flower and Garden show this week along with the various museum campuses. Lovely hotel and good food. The Fairy Tale exhibits complemented my love of Disney, my DD lifelong love of Lego's was fulfilled by the exhibit. We were able to feed the sharks at an aquarium that a long time Disney friend works at from a defunct Disney website. It was awesome and scary at the same time. While the sharks were use to it, the group obviously was not. We went onto the China exhibit of the Art Institute that brought us to a side of China that was absent in my little world of my little Hamlet. So overall it has been a very fund and enlightening week for me an my daughter. :geek:

I also brought my new camera to the Flower and Garden. I'm getting use to it and I felt inept at times as I'd push a tiny portion of the camera and things went Kabluey. I will post some of the photos as soon as I now learn how to upload from a wireless camera. We go annually to the Flower and Garden in Chicago as we need to see green and flowers by March Winter months. This year after several years of well OK reviews this year was awesome and an uptick. What we were not prepared for and we missed was that Chicago's Navy Pier is under Major rehab and 95% of the restaurants and stores along with attractions were shuttered.
Disappointment. Still you all know my love of gardens and flowers so it was still a happy day for me.

No problem, although it has been a little chilly. Today is our last full day. 😩We have until 5 pm tomorrow to play then to the airport and back to real life.

Been gone but I have to catch up on your posts. I live vicariously through others WDW trips. Can't wait for mine. Tick tick tick. Glad you have most of tomorrow. Enjoy!

When we go on vacation I book everything myself. All my dh ever asks is what are we doing that day.

That was me all the years we went to Disney as my kids grew up.

I have found peace in passing that gauntlet to my daughter. The last two year as she endlessly searches for FPs, hotel discounts, ADRs daily, when she asks for our input I always respond now...sure, perfect. She was raised Disney, she gets it, she is good at it, I don't miss being the planner, happy with the sure, it sounds great new role.

I read that they might not charge after all. I also saw they brought the full citrus swirl back, this I will investigate today!

Have not looked but I saw the tweets today and that Disney took it down and then put it back up. One man posted his response to an email
that said roughly said something like,

Thank you, we are always interested in hearing from our guests. We have heard from many unhappy guests but it is an industry standard.

We fly and magical express so it isn't a concern to us as we don't drive or rent cars. I feel badly for those who do. I also laugh at those like us that fly and magical express that lost their cookies over something that impact their vacations. Some wig mighty wig outs from my camp of fly and magical express. Twitter has been a buzz as you have indicated this sight has been. Now when they charge for wifi and magical express then I will likely be disappointed too. Would not be surprised.

In other news, just came back from watching Peter Rabbit. I do not know the source material but I have to say it was a rollercoaster in the badway.
It felt like mixing Home alone with Alvin and the Chipmunks.
Some jokes were very funny, others were VERY corny or bad.
I dont know if some jokes were for adults because in the Spanish dub, there were jokes you could classify as double edged jokes for both adults and kids (in the dirty way).

The movie felt VERY uneven in the storytelling as well. Some very good parts, other stupidly written.
Some parts felt very well animated, others slumped. Some characters shined despite being displayed very little (like the nudist fox , the pork and the rooster).

In general the movie felt like a roadrunner extended cartoon with realistic bunny and animal graphics.

So in my opinion.. unless you're a hardcore fan of the characters, or bunnies or for cringe-worthy love movies.. AVOID PETER RABBIT...
Please compare it to Hop. THNX

James has graduated to assistant planner and he does a good job for most things but there are little details I still like to plan.
