From what I know of the COP theater, is that if someone leaves during the show, the scene starts again. At least that is what happened on one of our trips. There had been a glitch with the ride. Every time someone left, the scene would restart. It was really funny. The CM came on the mic and said that people needed to stay and not leave so that the ride could continue. I am guessing that is not a normal thing, but just an issue they had on this day. I cannot imagine that people exiting would cause it to restart normally. If so people would go bonkers. I personally love COP, mostly the turn of the century and up to 1940 scenes. I could skip the modern one. I guess I like all the nostalgia ones it seems. Oh except the Speedway. Do not like that one.
The scene does restart every time someone exits through a door. That's not a glitch. We sat through the beginning scene three times once because a large family that didn't understand English kept leaving.

I just read about the new charge for parking at the resorts. Luckily we won't get hit this year as we booked months ago, but seriously this is making me rethink next year. If we keep 1 AP we can still park at the parks for free and get dining and merchandise discounts. We could just stay offsite. Who the heck filled out those surveys and said that paid parking for resorts was a good thing. They charge more than offsite hotels. If they were smart, they should have just increased room and ticket prices and include parking in those fees. Oh wait, they did increase those prices too. Logic and my heart are at crossroads right now.:cautious:

I just commented in another thread about this. Usually I’m labeled a “pixie duster” because I understand (even if I may not like it) when Disney adds fees, and I don’t think their park tickets are priced too high (when compared to amusement parks).

This time- I don’t understand.

I’d rather see the hotels go valet only as opposed to charging overnight guests and not day guests. It doesn’t make any sense.

Has this been verified yet or is it still a rumor. (the details more then the statement) No business person in their right mind would think that was a good thing to charge for no matter how many others are doing it. Those offsite will find themselves empty before long as well. They could open a special tour offsite just to visit the skeletons of once busy hotels that didn't plan ahead for the Disney Hotel explosion.

Agreed. I usually defend, this time no way. Not when they are charging hundreds for a room. It is getting too much, even for me. It may be just offsite stays for us. I cannot justify the extra expense considering what they charge. I can understand day guests getting charged if they are going to eat in a restaurant, but not people who have already paid so much to stay on property.

The only good news is FW guests won’t be charged. I know you like that resort, so it may work out for you. :)

That is just carp in my opinion. Sure $13 doesn't seem like much a night in the whole scheme of things at a value, but the room rates are expensive enough.

In November we stayed at All Star Sports for 1.5 nights.. I think it was like $270ish for both nights, tax included.

We left there and went to Boca Raton Resort for 1 night pre cruise.. one of my favorite resorts, but expensive during the weekend on either side of Thanksgiving. It’s also mandatory valet for $40.
They charge resort fees, and for WiFi (I don’t pay the WiFi due to my HHonors)

The fees bother me, especially on top of the room price.. BUT, everyone has to pay it. If you have a dining reservation there- you still pay the $40.. so I just grumble under my breath and hand over the money.. the Disney thing is so odd though. I honestly don’t understand it. I could understand either a resort fee- OR- a standard parking fee. What they’re doing just doesn’t make sense at all.
