Thank You!

Hmmm so "Sausalito" ....

Wikipedia has this to say ...

"Sausalito developed rapidly as a shipbuilding center in World War II, with its industrial character giving way in postwar years to a reputation as a wealthy and artistic enclave, a picturesque residential community (incorporating large numbers of houseboats), and a tourist destination, and is adjacent to, and largely bounded by, the protected spaces of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area."

So maybe the guardians coaster's premise will be that we are in the factory where Starlords ship gets built back in the time when it was being constructed?

Hmmmmm

Funny, aren't both Sausalito and Milano (the name of Star Lord's ship) names of Pepperidge Farm cookies?

My Guess..
Mischief = Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway?
MK2 = Tron Coaster?
Sausalito = Ratataoulie/France Expansion?

MMRR is M for Marceline.

To summarize:

ITJ = The Italian Job = Gondolas
D = Delos = Star Wars Land DL
D II = Delos II = Star Wars Land DHS
M = Marceline = Mickey & Minnie Runaway Railway
Alcatraz = Battle Escape Ride
Big Bird = Millennium Falcon Ride
Mischief = Ratatouille
MK2 = TRON Light Cycle
S = Sausalito = GotG Coaster "Infinite Universe?"
A = Ascot = Toy Story Land

So, what was the secret code for Pandora?

What we know, based on inform from @MisterPenguin

  • This is verified by around 5 insiders, permits, the beginning of construction, and documents obtained by the Orlando Sentinel. [confirmed at D23 2017]

  • It will connect POP/AoA and Caribbean with DHS/Epcot. And likely raise the prices there.

  • Possible I.D. of the gondola make and model here.

  • Can gondolas handle wheelchairs, strollers, and EVC? Yes, here.

  • Will it be installed in other places? No plans right now, but, always a possibility if it works out well.

  • All the gondola stations will be ground level with a steep incline coming in/out [here]

  • gondolas stations will be themed to nearby architecture: International Gateway will be Parisian; DHS will be Art Deco; AoA/Pop will be a Wave (near Little Mermaid); CBR Stations will be regal and stoney (which is which isn't confirmed). [here]

  • gondolas will be 8 person cabins from Doppelmayr, have a through-put of 5,000 people per hour, have wi-fi, and ample passive ventilation [here]

  • It has been reported that the gondola's will NOT have air conditioning, but there is extensive discussion that this should not be an issue.

This has been discussed in other threads but it is time for it to have it's own thread.

Recent permits related to Caribbean Beach Resort and DHS seem to indicate that a new transportation system between CBR, DHS, Epcot and possible AOA might be in the works.

The CBR permit showed these two new structures which by themselves don't look to interesting.

A DHS permit this week shows two more new structure around DHS, as well as a construction access road which is not shown here.

The shapes, location, and orientation of these structure form a interesting pattern that may not be coincidental. Thanks to @P_Radden for this map.

Based on this information a gondola/skyride system of some sort looks like a possibility.

We stayed at the CBR last week and a CM from the DVC told us that it will indeed pickup/let off at the CBR as well as POP, AOA and BC and connect all four with DHS and EPCOT. We were also told that they are expecting it to open with the open of Toy Story Land in the end of June!

Are you sure they said opening with TSL? Not Star Wars perhaps?

There's no station at the BC, unless they mean the International Gateway of Epcot which is close to BC.

And there will also be a station at the new Riviera DVC resort.

Sounds like the CM was somewhat "unclear" on the details! (Shocker eh? :joyfull:).

Wait they said the Skyliner would open in June? Yeah.... Not happening....

An additional prototype is being tested to incorporate 'Magical Preferred Parking'. As a bonus, your Skyliner will have Airconditioning! (Well, as long as your car has A/C) :)
