Since I was 15 years old a tax attorney do our taxes. He did my folks taxes. The first year we were married we didn't use the tax attorney and they got messed up when he did them. We left a few things off that we should not have. We owed money and had a penalty too. Same tax attorney has been doing taxes since. I dread talking to him as he always tortures me. He also does my business taxes too so it is extra torture.

I've had the same accountant for 30 years.

@figmentfan423 , what are the plans today on the holiday? I think the whole family should go out to a fun, local restaurant and celebrate the day off.
I wish, my dh is going to bed in a couple of hours and James has made plans with his:cautious: I'm going to spend quality time with mount laundry, get some cooking done, finish a top, and somehow squeeze in a couple of yoga practices.

Here are some pictures from my weekend with my niece. Friday night was just taco night and relaxing at home.

Saturday was breakfast at the bar in our town, The bar in our town serves excellent food and the breakfasts are excellent. Sorry no pictures of that, maybe another time for that. After breakfast we headed to the Mall of America. After I returned some clothes to Macy's our next stop was the Disney store.

Looks like they are releasing fancy Mickey's throughout the year. Here is this month's.

I love Tangled and the Tangled series. Flynn Rider/Eugene might be my cartoon boyfriend. I found this plush Eugene on clearance. Yes he came home with me.

We wandered around and found a seat in the big rotunda for the Chinese New Year celebration. It was fun to watch the dragon and some of the musical acts. I love that it is the year of the dog. But really for Kapono, every year is her year!

Then we went to the glow in the dark mini-golf. It had a rock and roll theme and was really fun. I came in last but I was the only one to get a hole in one!

We stopped at the cheese store and got some samples (yum!) and the Minnesota themed store still had this photo op up from the Super Bowl a couple weeks ago. This is a pretty popular phrase in this area, another appropriate one would have been Uf Da! That is a pretty popular Scandinavian American phrase in these parts! :)

We had lunch at Shake Shack and it was super yummy and so filling. We didn't end up eating dinner until late that night. THis is my bacon cheeseburger, fries and chocolate shake.

After eating we stopped at the dough stand for cookie dough to eat later at home. And we headed home. Once home we chilled played games including the Oregon Trail card game. And just like we the old computer game we all got some sort of calamity and died before reaching Oregon. This morning I took my niece to church to listen to the visiting bell choir after making her Mickey waffles for breakfast and then we played some games before taking her home.

Once I got back home I hubs and I relaxed and then he talked me into going to see Black Panther. I'm glad I went it was really enjoyable. But I never got my nap so I think I will be sleeping well tonight. Oh and we have snow and ice on the agenda for tomorrow. And I think I'm coming down with a little bug, sometimes I feel great sometimes I feel icky. If I'm going to be sick, I wish it would just come already. Or if not go away.
What a great day! Your niece is lucky to have you and Brad as an aunt and uncle. :)

You know, these random phone jokes reminds me of a famous story about a marketer for an university.
He got his surprise of his life when the machine that assigned phones, gave him a very special phone to call..
The call was uneventful and he was doing his marketing spill. The man in the other side told him to stop for a second and started to ask the marketer questions on how he got the phone #.

Turns out the machine had spit the number of the commanding officer of the pentagon and no normal person should have been able to call that phone #. Because nobody outside the top security and accepted phone lines should be able to call that number.

Suffice to say.. Pentagon officials ended investigating the person and even replacing the phone number assigner machine :hilarious:

Another similar story was when there were "doomsday" phones assigned in phone central companies and other critical areas for when a strike happens. If you get called you have to follow the instructions and so on..
Nobody expected that thing to ring ever.
Until it did.. Everyone in that company (from the person of the story) was terrified. When they picked up the phone, it was a random person asking for pizza.
Turns out the government made a mistake and the phone # of the emergency phone was disconnected and repurchased. Supposedly assigned to a pizza store nearby. :hilarious:
Those storues are funny and yet scary at the same time.

I'm sorry you are feeling a bit icky, I hope it goes away soon. There is a shop in the mall that sells cookie dough? How do they make that without eggs?

Yes a large variety of doughs too. I wondered about the egg part too. I'm assuming they leave it out or use powdered egg.
