We're going from 65 Thursday to a winter weather alert of some type for tonight. Tonight's dinner fried groundhog and waffles:angelic::angelic::angelic::angelic::angelic:

No Nutella on mine please. :depressed:

It was sunny today but by late afternoon that four letter word started falling from the sky. Messed with my dinner plans. :bored: We are supposed to have 60+ degrees with pouring rain in a few days. We still have a great deal of snow on the ground...wonder where all that rain is going to go? Remember no Nutella please. :cautious:

It does boggle the mind how much they've cut back on both morning and evening EMHs. Paying more, getting less. :cautious:

And when we went right after Labor Day they were doing annoying things like running less Moving Park Benches, at times only one side of Space open, one side of Pirates, Thunder. That is just annoying cause it only takes 2 more CMs to have them open.

You are lucky you got the Tamiflu. I think it is hard to come by where we live. The flu has hit our area badly.
Since I have asthma, I'm considered a high risk patient. They gave me Tamiflu without much argument. I also remember there was one year growing up where there was a shortage of flu vaccines, but I was able to get it because of my asthma. My lungs were clear when I went to the doctor, so we're trying to keep them that way.

That's what
Do you still have any pain in the injured/broken finger? Did your doctor give you any sort of timeframe for it to heal?

Minimal pain, thank you for asking...!
Nope. He seemed more intent on impressing the intern girl he was working with. What a worm. She didn't even seem impressed...the guy seemed like he was on speed, so I'm probably not going back to that clown. Just weirdness... :cyclops:

Knock wood never got the flu after the shot but have gotten chicken pox more than once:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

We've gotten slight touches of the flu even though we had flu shots. One year I put it off and was down a couple of weeks. During shortages we can always get the shot because of my DD respiratory allergies.

I've never had the Chicken Pox. My kids have never had the Pox either. My son at 2, 39 out of 40 kids at his daycare got the Pox, guess who didn't? As soon as that Pox vaccine came out they were the first in the Peds office to get it. Funny thing. Nurse berated me for wanting them vaccinated 'cause nothing was known about the vaccine. When the Doc came in I shared the warnings from the nurse and her disapproval and asked him what his thoughts were the same? I could hear his follow up talk with her outside the exam room. I had the same issue with a Nurse when my son was a day old. I had him sleeping on his back (he fell asleep that way) she yelled at me and told me if he spit up he'd die! Wonder what she tells new Mom's now that the recommendation is to put newborns on their back? It drives me nuts.

Some larger cities (such as here in Boston) have a Chinatown section. I've been to Chinese New Year's celebrations a number of times--always festive with the dragons, fireworks, music, etc. They have some nice bakeries, too, that serve different types of treats. I like lotus seed buns, for example. Weekends in Chinatown are also noted for Dim Sum at some of the restaurants. :hungry:

Chicago has a Chinatown too and many of the markets are down there. I've never done their New Year 'cause it is always so freak'n cold. It is 27 degrees and 2 more inches of snow. Then again it is a lot warmer than our New Year was this year while we were down there. Brrr

That's so cool!!

Blah! Sorry. :( Why must you stay outdoors?

I was competing in the highland games today. The season opener is always mid February. Last year it was seventy degrees. This year it was so cold and snowy and I still can't feel my toes

Hope you had fun despite the cold. I love the highland games as a spectator. Nothing like a man in a kilt running around with a log. Good times. :geek:

Epcot has only 1 EMH in the AM for the week we are there, as does MK, and the one for MK is the day 5 of our AP's expire. We aren't going to go to Hollywood Studios unless Toy Story Land opens and that has 1 EMH as well. AK on the otherhand has 2 EMH and that is dh's least favorite park. So really what is the point now of paying so much extra for onsite but maybe to avoid parking fees. You can always take a bus. At least the Resort Blvd hotels are within property so you don't feel out of the bubble.

Now if they would only also include the two new hotels at Flamingo Crossing near Animal Kingdom too, if I understand that correctly those hotels also have long term leases similar to Hotel Blvd leases with Disney for land.

I remember last year for the extremely crowded 4th weekend the parks were pretty much on winter off season park closing times. Uproar on the boards, twitter, facebook. I can't believe they are going to launch Toy Storyland for the long 4th July weekend anymore than launching Avatarland over Memorial. Think it was a better idea when they launched attractions and parks during the slow season back in the day.
