The best way I look at it is how they were raised. I compare what you mentioned to my younger brother and I.

My younger brother and I were different than some of the classmates we had in school. My younger brother and I stayed away from drugs, Alcohol, and smoking. We also didn't skip school either.

My younger brother and I grow up in a house that my parents didn't put up with anything. I came from a house hold that if you get in trouble, you get television, video games, etc. taken away and you had to set in the kitchen table reading books or play with your thumbs.

Thank you!
We weren't overly strict or preachy, but, were, and still are, loving and always just tried to instill common sense in them. If you feel something you are doing isn't right there's a good chance it isn't, stuff like that.
But, again, we were already blessed with good-hearted kiddos in the first place...!!!

Donaldtoo, your condition sounds really scary. I have had about 10 or so episodes in about the last 3 years where my heart beats at about twice my normal rate. For me that only puts me at about 110 beats per minute, since my normal rate is about 55. Of course, it is scary when you return to bed in the middle of the night, after a bathroom break, and your heart is pounding inside your chest. One of my episodes lasted all night, and sent me in the bathroom every 1/2 hour or so. I never urinated so much in my life. As I look back on some of my episodes, too much caffeine too late at night, and chocolate. I have never had an episode in the daytime.

My cardiologist is following through on the concern of my eye doctor's surgical staff who monitored my heart, and recorded an irregular heart rate during my cataract surgery last October. This whole process is taking quite a while. Doctors, and schedules for appointments sure can drive a body loony. My husband doesn't believe I have anything wrong, but I agreed to all the testing to satisfy my own curiosity about this matter. I may have nothing at all. My next cardiologist appointment isn't until April, and so is my eye doctor appointment. By then I will know where I stand, and I can finally have my 2nd cataract surgery, and get a proper pair of glasses. I have recently noticed how my old glasses just aren't right.

Thanks for your concern, and may you continue to not have any problems.

You're welcome, and thank you as well!

That sounds like it could be some sort of SVT-like thing...has that been something the docs have discussed with you? I had very short episodes in my younger years long before I was finally diagnosed, and just blew it off as "palpitations".
Although it can indeed be scary, it is also, in and of itself, not fatal, although there can be ancillary effects that can sometimes make it otherwise (when your heart is beating 200+ bpm stuff can happen). I was definitely told to stay away from caffeine with this condition. I've never been much of a coffee drinker or soda hound anyway so no biggie, but, I do loves me some chocolate, especially dark...!!! :hungry:

Again, prayers that all is well for you and you can get your eye surgery done as scheduled...!!!

I probably won't go for a few years but I do worry how much more expensive everything Disney seems to be getting. Staying off site might become inevitable. :(

Yep, same here. We love us some Disney, but, it's just getting too far up there price-wise and there's still so much under construction.
Plus, cruise fever has kinda' taken over for now...!!!!!!! :joyfull:

I have looked in the past but I like cruising with Norwegian which is a lot cheaper.

Yep, as I posted before, a similar DCL cruise would have cost us 3+ times what our December Carnival cruise cost. Oldest DD and SonIL have cruised DCL before on their honeymoon and said they enjoyed this one just as much. People can dis Carnival all day long (as they have indeed had their problems), but, there was not one single issue on our week-long cruise and we had a blast...!!!!!!! :joyfull:

Honestly, the 401 is the answer to the pension plan situation. Any thing you can carry away with you is fairly solid even if subject to market fluctuations. A business closure is more then the honesty or ability of the owners. However, volatile things like banked vacation pay or sick time is wide open to being the last thing anyone would think about paying off or be legally bound to do. Long term existence means nothing. Circumstances are the driving factor. Bad business investments, lawsuits, economy and a multitude of other things negate any amount of time in existence. Remember Kodak. Again the "can't get blood from a stone" scenario, not intentionally "screwing" anyone.

Yep, as I indicated in my first sentence, anything can happen.
But, without going into details, at this point I have no worries whatsoever about these guys ever becoming "stones" in any way.

Never heard of fight like that on a Carnival ship before. But if you stop cruising one whole cruise line because of an incident then you should stop cruising on Royal Caribbean since that storm chaser died in the main dance club after he and a bunch of his friends were tripping on "club" drugs.
Eeeh, except it wasn't a single case? In the other hand a brawl CAN AFFECT YOU if you're nearby and even follow you to keep fighting.
If some kids are doing drugs, they only affect themselves.

Little dd needs some pixie dust. We are going to Philly tonight for a competition tomorrow, and they will be competing against the team that they got beat out for first place in Atlantic City. One of the other teams that was really good will be there as well. The coaches changed their routine to make it more difficult and the practices have been rough. There is also call for snow tomorrow. Really? It was 68 here yesterday. Apparently there will be a 20 degree drop from right now to tonight. Mother Nature is such a tease.

Sympathy like.
Hope the competition is going/went well...!!!
