Snow they say shall start again at Midnight. I WAS able to actually leave for a while this afternoon. Note, Macy's is having their huge clearance sale. I bought a nice Fleece Fall type jacket, $89.00 for $14.82. My DD got a different style also $14.82 So many dirt cheap prices for quality. Shop till ya drop!

I love a good deal!

Just a little FYI the best pizza in the states is found in the metro NYC area. What they serve in Chicago is a decent casserole

Our firm doesn't give vacation/sick days up front. You have to earn them. One sick day per 6 months, and one+ vacation day for about every 6 weeks, but, you can roll as much as you want over...!!!

Damn...I'm too old for this stuff, but, it pays the bills...!!!!!

You can only be sick 2 days per year? How does anyone ever have any days to roll over???

Easy if that were me i would be up to about 6-8 sick days.

I cannot get my feet warm today. Time to get out the heating pad. Spring cannot get here soon enough!

I don't know if it will help, but when my feet are too cold, I use my blow dryer...I have a hard time getting the heating pad wrapped around my feet in a good position to actually warm them up, and the blow dryer is faster. I will also use it to warm up my socks before putting them on. Keeps them nice and toasty for a bit.

We have a membership to the zoo in Arnhem, and yesterday started their light display thing in the evenings. So we went to check it out. It was pretty cool.

There were light up animal displays throughout the walking route and then there were also color changing lights on some features...like the big butterfly, the waterfall, and on the foliage along the path with the penguins. It was really pretty.

Oh my! My love of all things space and flight...!!!
The Montgolfier brothers were the creators of the first hot air balloon, and I see a Harrier in that last pic...so cool...!!!!!!!

Just reading your response above to RedNoseMickey. I gotta say that the Harrier jump jets are one of the most exciting marvels of aviation. (Many years ago, I saw one up close while on a public tour of a British naval ship that had come into Boston harbor. Only wished I could have seen it take off or land. It also had a camera built into it, that you wouldn't have seen unless up close to it.) I asked one of the sailors what the camera was for, and he winked at me, and said I wasn't supposed to see that . . . )

Looks like my old hamster Ian. What a perfect little guy he was. Never bit anyone. Funny story about him. He escaped from his cage one night, the clever thing, and I did not know because it was in the evening when I was asleep. He was gone for 2 days, when my stepdad said he heard scratching behind the wall where his desk was in the basement. We had double walls because the basement was finished. We opened this closet like door which hid the electrical panel and looked down into the space and there he was. No how to get him out? Luckily I had spoiled him with Chips Ahoy. We fashioned a basket with a small box and tied string to it. Then I put a chocolate chip cookie in the box. We lowered the box. He smelled the cookie and jumped in the box. As he was nibbling we rose it up and I grabbed him. I was so happy. He was a very cuddly tiny thing.

I bought very fuzzy sherpa lined slippers from Land’s End during a 50% off sale last fall. They keep my feet very warm.
