My husband loves watching the Olympics, I think he might be working from home a little more during the next couple weeks.

Down through the years, it's not just the sports and the athletes from all the nations, but I always like the travelogues they throw in for the host country. I really enjoy those.

Some good news I can share is that my sister got the job she applied for. It is a little bit more money, 8 weeks paid vacation time and a paid for public transportation card. In total she got a much better package and she is excited because the work appears to be just her cup of tea with room for advancement. Her current boss was absolutely shocked she is leaving, this is the same jerk that refused to promote her.

No cinnamon rolls today. I turned the oven and realized it was not working. I use my oven everyday so this will be rough to deal with.

I didn't feel like dealing with the drowsiness with dramamine. I don't even enjoy it while I'm on it. Everyone else is like "Wow, cool!" I just feel dizzy the entire time and then can't walk straight after getting off, then comes the nausea. This time, it's stayed for hours after the ride, so much so that I skipped an Everest ride. Not worth it.

Thankfully, that shop at the end is the only shop I've seen in WDW other than the resorts that sells ginger ale. Gee, wonder why...

Try half the dose. Half is enough for me.

Have you ever played curling? I know that Canadians like it. I never saw it anywhere except on TV (years ago) when I saw Canadians play it. Didn't really get much of it--brooms and a stone with a handle on it. Like everything else, I'm sure there's skill involved though.

That would involve being on ice so that's a no. There are curling clubs here in NE Ohio though.

I don't think we have it either, but I'll look. I think that regular NBC is broadcasting most of the Olympics so I'll watch some of the events on that. At least everyone can get the regular network channels.

And still haven’t received a call. C’mon what the heck is wring with people! They cannot just call back and make an appointment? Bet the darn thing works again the the morning.

There is a curling club near DC that we wanted to go to once a few months ago. They had an introduction to curling session. We signed up to go but then canceled because we had family visit that weekend.

Wish it wasn't an intermittent problem you're having with the stove--intermittents can be hard to trouble shoot (sometimes), versus a part that just wears out, and can be replaced.

As for waiting for a return call, I think many companies now have cut back on service staff; and because they have so much business, they're lax about customer service. They'll call you back, but only when they get around to it. That's a common complaint I hear from a number of people.

I think this is a one man show. Problem is tomorrow is Friday. I probably won’t be able to have it looked at until next week now. Guess it will just be stove top cooking for a bunch of days. Could be worse. At least it is not the heat that is broken.

I watched the replay a little while ago. The rocket boosters actually land perfectly straight on a target at Cape Canaveral. It was soooo amazing!

Yep, that was one of the coolest things I've ever seen!!!!!!!
It reminded me of these two old Disneyland TV shows from '55 and '56...they are two of my favorites...!!!!!

same thing with me, well without the asthma, but I get headaches if I'm in a small space with people wearing a lot of perfume/cologne. For example, I was at a wake the other day and started getting a headache from the boatload of people and smells that where there.

But I love Geir at Norway. I shall buy it one day and hopefully won't get a headache from it.

I can't be are perfumes or colognes. Geir is one of the few I can be OK around just so it isn't in volume. My DD and I had my DS when he was in college put his cologne on outside before he left and would leave the bottle on the porch and we would retrieve it after he left. Geir oddly neither of us have an issue with unless it is the Norway pavilion-just way too much happening smell wise in that room.

Note: Cheaper rack rate anyhow: It is $49 and the bottle is twice the size as that in Norway pavilion

O.k. Well, let's see. How did that compare with my exciting day? Went to work, ate canned spaghetti for lunch (in the cafeteria--no way that even they made this slop--it was canned). Left at 5:00, and got stuck in a broken down train on the track for 30 minutes, coming home.

I have issues with heavy perfumes and colognes too but Geir doesn't bother me either. I guess the Norwegians know what they are doing.
