Hope you stay awake long enough to enjoy it
I did! (Is it sad I am proud of myself?)

I just finished making pickle soup. No pickles in it. It is a pureed veggie soup(potatoes, onion, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, cannelini beans, veggie broth, and a few dashes of pickle juice. We ate at a restaurant in Gettysburg over the summer and they had a cheese pickle soup. It was delicious. :hungry: So I made a twist on it by making it vegan and healthy. For @figmentfan423 , I added nutritional yeast for a cheesy flavor. Don't know if you use it.

What movie will it be? Are the movies American and dubbed, or are they local films?
Most of what I watch is either American or British. I never watch anything dubbed, I can't stand it. This was A prince for Christmas, Netflix only has a small selection of Christmas films. This movie was pretty bad but I was too tired for anything good so I didn't mind.

Sorry, I'm behind as always, but, right back at ya'...!!! :)
Thanks!

I had a friend that went on a mission trip with the church to Romania to build orphanages. Those kids don't just have nothing, they have NOTHING. When they got there, they said it was common for the kids to be sleeping on just a blanket on a cold concrete floor. It's heartbreaking.

When our oldest DD was in middle school, we made two church bus trips down to a girls orphanage in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. We brought them everything from under garments to ceiling fans. They had so little.
The next year we went, a border agent wouldn't let us in without paying him. A nice lady from our group that spoke fluent Spanish got out of the bus and read him the riot act!!! It was pretty amazing, and we got in with no charge...!!!
But, the next year when DS was in middle school and scheduled to go, our diocese Bishop cancelled the trip, and with good reason...the drug lords and violence was getting out of hand. Unfortunately, it just wasn't safe anymore.
So sad, because they always got so much joy out of our visits, as did we, just being able to help and give back.

I am always amazed at how many people where flip flops all day. I can barely make it down to the beach or pool with them. They offer no support and leave my feet without any protection.o_O
I love Tevas or similar type shoes for hot weather.

I'm with you on this one. I have a very nice pair of flip flops but that piece that goes between the toes is uncomfortable. I dunno--maybe people who wear flip flops a lot, get a callous there and it stops being uncomfortable after a while.

When in doubt, buy pinneapples for everyone :hilarious:

Ha! I wish it was that simple. Some of our gifts have to get mailed out to hubs' family in CO. I found one nice item online, but the store said that the people have to be home to sign for the delivery. UGH! :in pain: (Both of the people work during the day and I can't guarantee they'd be home when the UPS truck arrived.) Thought I had found a great gift, but now I have to start all over again!! :banghead:

That's how I feel. The one time I wore my flip flops a bit longer I got a blister on both feet between the toes. I do have very nice Havaianas Storm Trooper ones but just can't wear them if I actually need to walk somewhere.

I wear Teva sandles in Disney World. They have been the only shoe that don't kill my feet or leave me with blisters. I tried regular crocs, but the little nubby things in them bother my feet after a few hours. I have no idea how my kids can wear them all day. I got ds the adult size Mickey Crocs off their website. Much cheaper than buying them at the parks when they offer them on sale, plus the colors are prettier.:)

I've been addicted to Tevas for at least 12 years now. I have a few different colors. They are the BEST sandals and custom adjust to your feet. I highly recommend them to anyone.

It is family related. Littlest dd has a cheer competition on the east side of DC, so without traffic it should take 2 hours. :rolleyes:I hate being late to things so want to give a cushion. :D

I’ve already got 3 pups. :):confused::p

Behind as always...
Hope the competition went well and y'all had a great time...!!! :)

We only have the two labs now, but, we've had as many as three pups twice before...!!! :)

That is my problem with them. I hate having the strap in between my toes.

Cold feet are the worst!!! (But I can't sleep in socks. My mom used to threaten to send me to bed with my socks on to get me to behave, and even at age 45, I cannot sleep with socks on still! :hilarious: )

I can't sleep in socks either unless I'm super cold or if it is just a nap. But I have an electric blanket on my bed so it only happens when we have stayed at my sister-in-laws since we have had to sleep in the basement.
