I am always amazed at how many people where flip flops all day. I can barely make it down to the beach or pool with them. They offer no support and leave my feet without any protection.o_O
I love Tevas or similar type shoes for hot weather.
I wear Teva sandles in Disney World. They have been the only shoe that don't kill my feet or leave me with blisters. I tried regular crocs, but the little nubby things in them bother my feet after a few hours. I have no idea how my kids can wear them all day. I got ds the adult size Mickey Crocs off their website. Much cheaper than buying them at the parks when they offer them on sale, plus the colors are prettier.:)

Sounds like something my dh would do. Do you remember Snuggie’s? Everytime the commercial would come on I would cringe. Dh knew I hated them, but went and ordered a bunch for Christmas a few years back.

I never read the Twilight series. Wasn’t that about vampires? I just had no desire to read 50 Shades. Not a follower I guess and maybe just prefer good fiction. ;)
Glad ds’s party went well. With all the misshaps it sounds like a perfect boy’s party. :p
Yes, Twilight is a young adult romance about a vampire and a normal human who fall in love. I actually do love Twilight, and it's one of my go-to comfort books. I'm reading the series again right now and I'm on the last book.

So far today so good:inlove: Errands run, 2 types of soup are simmering and the boys cleaned their own bathroom. I may even have time to make some fried rice:joyfull::joyfull::joyfull::joyfull::joyfull::joyfull: and watch another movie:inlove::inlove::inlove::inlove::inlove:
I just finished making pickle soup. No pickles in it. It is a pureed veggie soup(potatoes, onion, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, cannelini beans, veggie broth, and a few dashes of pickle juice. We ate at a restaurant in Gettysburg over the summer and they had a cheese pickle soup. It was delicious. :hungry: So I made a twist on it by making it vegan and healthy. For @figmentfan423 , I added nutritional yeast for a cheesy flavor. Don't know if you use it.
My 4 hours of working turned into 10 hours of working but at least I have time to do a load of laundry tonight. Now I will watch a sappy Christmas movie while I wait for the drier to be finished. Note to self, DON'T fall asleep.
What movie will it be? Are the movies American and dubbed, or are they local films?

I'm glad it all worked out. Parties got much easier and fun once my ds was in the right class:inlove:
It really was so much better than previous years! Easier, more fun...just all around better! No worrying about kids not wanting to come, or wracking our brains trying to come up with a couple of kids to invite who might actually say yes and that he could get along with...it was totally non-stress!

I've seen a few reviews of the Twilight Franchise, and I'm still baffled that thing got popular.
Oh I love the Twilight series. But 50 shades is nothing like the Twilight series. It was poorly written fan fiction by someone who wished Twilight had been smutty. Blech. And I can understand that Twilight is not to some people's taste, but there is some awesome stuff about it, too. For me, it brought back all those feelings of awkward teenage years, getting to know someone and not knowing how they felt about you, not wanting to let them know how much you liked them...it's relatable, at least to someone like me. And I love romance books. I was reluctant to read it at first because the premise sounded SOOO cheesy...just really bad. I read the first one only because so many of my friends recommended it, and they were friends who were avid readers of other books I loved, so I trusted their judgment and gave it a try...I ended up loving it WAY more than I expected. I had thought I would read the first one, hate it, and that would be it, but several years later, I love it and read it at least once a year.

I seriously cant stand the feel of having dirt in my feet lol.
Me either...I wear socks or slippers EVERYWHERE...I don't even go barefoot in my own house. I step out of the shower directly into my slippers without putting my feet onto the floor.

Doesn't that make them wet? I wear slippers in the winter. In the summer I can go barefoot in the house since the floors will be warmer. If the AC is on though, I need the slippers again. I hate cold feet.:coldfeet:

Cold feet are the worst!!! (But I can't sleep in socks. My mom used to threaten to send me to bed with my socks on to get me to behave, and even at age 45, I cannot sleep with socks on still! :hilarious: )

I cannot sleep if my feet are cold. I do wear socks at night, but they will end up not on my feet by morning. Apparently my feet get too hot at some point. I just never remember taking them off.
