Hey, @figmentfan423 , remember when I said our hand egg season was done? Well, those lovely boys some how won the last away game. Play off game Saturday night. High temp that day is mid 40's. Of course, the game doesn't start until after sundown. DD will be sent off in layers, and the marching band uniforms are pretty warm. They also have coats that go over the uniform to protect from rain, but the directors have been known to bring them out when it gets cold.
I'm right there with you and feel your pain. Our team also made the playoffs and our regular season isn't even done yet {{HUGS}}

Rant alert, here it comes...(it's about the coworker I can't stand)

My supervisor has been on leave for a while to take care of her sister. She came back two weeks ago, but was basically remote. We got word Monday that her sister had passed away.

Yesterday, I got a Skype message around 9 am from my dreadful coworker. "Is your supervisor working from home today?" I walked down the hall to talk to her, and quietly told her that my supervisor's sister had passed away the day before and she was on leave.

My coworker's reaction? "Oh, sh*t, I wanted to ask to use her office."

That. Not, "Oh my gosh, that's terrible." Not, "Oh, no. I feel so bad for her." Which could have been followed up with, "Well, I hate to ask this, but we have a manager from Mexico who needs some place to work. Do you think she'd mind if we used her office?" Followed with some expressions of sympathy. Nope, just, oh darn, wanted to use her office.

I do not understand some people. Work is not more important than family; get over it. Ugh!

I just returned from my eye doctor appointment, and he said that I can continue to wear my old glasses. At least I will be able to see out of my left eye, which is not the operated eye. However, I see pretty well on both sides. The right eye is blurry, of course, but the surgeon says it looks really good just one day after surgery. So glad I can function with my glasses on. No weirdness at all on the right side. Now I am still waiting from a call back from my primary doctor. If I don't hear anything by tomorrow, I will call up Advocate Medical Center again, and see someone else on staff about my newest health issue. You get old, you get problems.

In other news, I applied for my first real credit card today. Not a store card, not a student card, a full fledged credit card, and I got approved! :D It's through my bank, which probably helps, and it lets me check my credit score every month. And it offers 5% back on gas and groceries, and 1% back on everything else, and if you deposit your cash back directly into one of your accounts, you get an additional cash back reward. Though they gave me a credit limit which I must say is ridiculously high. I'm excited; this is good news for my financial future. Next one will be probably an Amazon card since I do most of my shopping there. Then a Disney Visa.
