He was 9. He was at a friends home. A great climbing tree, about three stories in the backyard. His friends little Sis always had a big crush on him. I guess I am told that she started chasing him in the tree telling him she Loved Him. She was 2 years younger and ewe a GIRL, a tomboy and use to climbing that tree. Well he was past the second story roof line when he fell and my Friend, the Mom said she was doing dishes looking out the window as my son sailed down right before her eyes and splat! Blood everywhere.

Me I was on a soccer field with my DD for PeeWee soccer. My friend comes up next to me on the field (pre-cell phone days for me) and I'm like Hi Kathy. Then it dawns on me why is she here and the look on her face. She had DS in the car and a towel that beyond gross covering most of his face. Well we swapped my kids out, she took my DD and me, son to the ER. By the Grace of God he had completely sunk his teeth through his bottom lip. Other than banged up and sore. He still has those slight scars on his bottom lip but man that could have ended badly.
Yikes. Sounds like a scary mom moment, and I bet she was horrified that it happened at her house!

Sympathy like for both of you. I've been lucky so far older ds 3 ER trips 2 times just a couple of stitches and 3rd time sprained wrist but my younger ds :mad::mad::mad::mad: just one trip but is was a doozy both bones in his wrist were broken from a monkey bar dare. At least he did it on the day the trauma orthopedist wasn't busy or he would have been in the hospital a couple of days. He got released just after midnight. Had he had to wait for a regular orthopedist surgery would have been done the first thing the next morning and would have had a one night stay.

I don't blame you. Sending some pixie dust word comes soon
Well, we didn't hear anything. So DH called the new school...they said they get word from the parents, not the committee...they won't get word until WE tell them. Which is weird. So DH explains that the resource director at the old school said it had been approved and someone had called HER to get some information so they could place him in the right class. But, both the principal at the new school and the resource director who told us it had been approved are off on Wednesdays. So we can't get either one on the phone. So DH called the committee I think? and SHE said, yes it's been approved, but it has to go through the proper channels, so it will be next week at least before we get the official word. So he won't be starting next Monday. :banghead: So she confirmed that it's not a no, but we still have to play the waiting game for some reason.
