So, this little guy was perfectly fine yesterday morning, until he went out for his early morning yard patrol, and he came back an hour later with a limp in one leg.



We can't figure out what happened because he doesn't seem to have tenderness when we rub the leg. Phil thinks he got stung by a bee. We're gonna wait one more day, and then Limpy is going to the vet. In the meantime, he is getting spoiled like never before.

Really? I wonder if they are trying to revamp their stores like they did with the website? I used to love going into the store when it was in the earlier days. Walking in was like being on a little vacation. We got our Disney fix by walking in. What say you @donaldtoo ?

Sympathy like. 88 again here today.

And, yes, as I've posted before, it was really heartwarming and Magical when many little kiddos would would come into the Store and excitedly exclaim "It's Disney World!!!!! ".
So many other Magical Moments we provided for Guests...it was truly a privilege and an honor...!!!

The general rule for heels where I lived was none until after confirmation and none at school until high school. It was just one of those rules like be in when the street lights come on. Freshman year was interesting.

My era of high school was comfy casual, shortly there after that all changed and the dawning of Preppy. I generally went to high school in jeans and my Adidas and a sweater. Where my DD wore jeans in high school her era was pajama pants and sweats.
But I did wear heels in middle school on occasion and for other stuff beyond classes in high school. I didn't have rules for when I could have certain things at a specific age and I didn't for my kids either. My DS pulled his Drivers License on his Birthday and my DD pulled hers about a month after 'cause the laws were going to change on January 1st for first timers. Still we both agreed she wasn't ready to go solo yet, she waited another 6 months, she just wasn't 'there' yet. DS was more comfy behind the wheel and did fine.

But these teen young women just flat out didn't know how to walk in heels. They missed the memo that it takes practice.

Color me curious, what did heels have to do with Confirmation?

i think I've left enough hints that one should find it's way under my Christmas tree.

#2 Figment arrived here today, I got two somehow. This time with adequate packing unlike the Alice one that came in so many pieces. Replacements are shipped from warehouses not the parks/property.

Still missing in the mist is a bunch of magnets. Shipped from park to resort but went AWOL before they ever hit the resort. Blames Irma.

Didn't get glasses haha. But the cheapest frames were about $200 at the place.

Not sure if I should get both prescription glasses and sunglasses or stay with my magnetic glasses that have a sunglass clip.

I've done both. If I'm going to be out all day I like the real sunglasses better. But when I'm in or out like at Disney changing from Sunglasses to regular is a pain. Last month at WDW I wore mainly my non script sunglasses at the parks and just kept a pair of cheap cheaters in my string backpack in case I needed to read something. I have bifocals but the only correction is for reading which is really off, I need that correction to function and the on and off with cheaters was nutso.

What about those transition lens eyeglasses? They change into "sunglass" mode when you go out into sunlight.

I've had transition lens. I find them to get dark quick enough, going clear much slower and they always seem to have a slight tint indoors.

i thought about them and I'm like nope. My dad has them - hates them. They're not very good changing into sunglasses when driving and I need sunglasses sometimes when it's cloudy.

I wear sunglasses when there is lots of bright white new snow on the ground and the sun is out. Glare.

Need a dowtown disney restaurant that is relatively cheap that has good diverse menu ie: like TRex or Rainforest. The boathouse I would like but some prefer a cheaper menu

Homecoming. Mine was just missed this year because of Irma curfew but the food by Disney standards is OK and real good and very diverse.

QS-Polite Pig. Awesome main dishes. Sides need some help but so worth the main course.

I will have to catch up later, but I wanted to update everyone. My son is going to be going to a different school. We have worked it out with the attendance officer that he will be homeschooled until we can get a placement in another school, hopefully with urgency. The school will provide lessons for him online for us to do with him. They said they can not offer him the help and environment that he needs. His psychological team agrees that that school is not in his best interest, but they have now agreed that we've checked off enough boxes to diagnose him as being on the Autism Spectrum. They are therefore giving us a referral to a special school that is geared towards kids with special needs, but still meets the regular curriculum requirements, and the best part is that it's a school that goes all the way through high school. They only offer Mavo and Havo, not VWO, but it's possible that by the time he would be finished he could just stream through onto VWO level in a regular school, depending on his development, etc. But this school has all the regular services that he gets now outside of school, but it's all offered onsite. So we really hope they will agree to take him. In any case, he's not going back to the school where he's bullied every day.

Amen. And thankful for the start. Curious as to the 'whys' they don't offer support for homeschooling when stating his school isn't in his best interest and have not placed him elsewhere yet? So different than here where they must then provide a visiting tutor. But nonetheless I'm so happy for him. How is he reacting to the development? Good thing you are a teacher. How does it conflict with your job? So many questions. But such good news.

It's delicious! I don't like ketchup, mustard, mayo, relish....I'm not generally a condiment/sauce girl. But I like peanut sauce...AKA satay sauce.

I've never been intro'd to Peanut Sauce as a side. So curious.
