I just got handed a paper for tomorrow's pancake breakfast. He reports to it at 7am tomorrow morning. It most likely won't change until after the holidays

He has my gluten issue so I have to pack rubber gloves for him. The band director is well aware of the situation so he'll get to be cashier and accountant for the project. I'm packing protective gear in case he helps with clean up.Well pancakes make everything better.

You could always buy the cheapest model of the most expensive series, these are usually the cheapest but have good parts that can last a lot.
That is for laptops.
For Desktops, I always choose the best motherboard (best chipset with the cheapest price model, aka nongaming models) and start building from there.
