That is excellent news! And I cannot believe all that your ds went through and nothing had been done prior. Just disgraceful on the part of the school and its teachers.


Nope, us neither. Must have 1000's in Legos here. Luckily, I think we may be done with new purchases. Now if ds would not have taken loads of sets apart and used pieces for his own creations, bet we could sell them for a pretty penny.

Hopefully it was made with borax and will come out. But with the food coloring in their, I don't know. Slime should not be permitted at school.

Luckily it was white and smelled like Colgate but she looked like a huge pelican took a dump on her arm.

At least for the moment, I have had very good luck with my HP.

I have had both and no problems with either. But last year I bit the bullet and splurged on a Mac!! Never going back. The Mac is wonderful!

Hubby is always looking for a way to save a few bucks!

Honestly, in brands like HP and Dell. You pay what you get.

So the cheaper they are, the more unreliable they will be.
I always bought Dell XPS laptops for example.. and never had issues and lasted me for years.

For desktops I usually prefer to just build my own.

I'm not looking for the highest price, but hubby said, it will be his back-up, so he is going for no bargain, either. He said the same thing, you get what you pay for, @Cesar R M (great minds think a like!)

Gotta say, I'm a fan of Dell Laptops. My brother had one, and we didn't pay very much for it, but it lasted him four years. He's got another Dell now. I periodically get it and clean it up for him. It's a nice machine.

HP...we've had some bad experiences with them.

My current laptop is a Lenovo. It's almost three years old. I did have to get it an external wireless adapter because the internet would cut out on me. Much better now. That's the kind of thing I expect on a machine that age. And the other issue is that the screws like to pop out and I have to screw them back in. If that's my worst issue, though, I'm pretty fortunate.

I though I had a stomach virus. Turned out to be a kidney infection. It seems it's always something.

Those are serious. Drink lots of water, and cherry juice is better than cranberry juice. According to the urologist in Denver.

Doing a happy dance!! One of the bullies has been expelled! Now..I DO have a question...what did he have to do to accomplish this feat? He was a kid from the other school...they have been at this school for 6 weeks and he's already gone. In the past several years, my son has been kicked, pushed down, pushed off the top of a slide, slammed against a wall, spit on, snapped with a towel, tripped, had a ball kicked at him repeatedly as hard as possible, and various other infractions and none of those kids were ever even disciplined much less expelled. So, as my husband says "Where's the body?" because he must have murdered someone to get kicked out in 6 weeks!!

Edit: I realize I knew a bully had been expelled, but until today, we weren't sure if it was one of DS's bullies, but DS was told today that this particular kid was not coming back to school, that they were looking for another school for him and then an email was sent to all the parents in his class saying this kid is absent until they find him a new situation. So it was confirmed that it was this kid, and it's just a HUGE relief!!!

I'm so happy for your family. I hope his family gets him the help he needs. I had a guy bully me in the 6th grade, he was in jail by the ninth grade.

It's been too hot this week! Three days over 90 and I'm done. Today was a pleasant 70 degrees.

We are hoping for those kind of temperatures over the week-end. Right now, it's starting to rain....

May not be on over the week-end. I have some last minute shopping to do. We leave in a little over 20 days, that is if the boat sails away.

Really? I wonder if they are trying to revamp their stores like they did with the website? I used to love going into the store when it was in the earlier days. Walking in was like being on a little vacation. We got our Disney fix by walking in. What say you @donaldtoo ?
