So, yesterday was a LONG day. I had to work, so I got up at 6, got the laundry going, showered, got the kids' lunches made, got them to school, worked, then picked up DD and took her to musical theater class, went home because DS can't be home alone that long, did the grocery shopping, went and picked up DD, came home and cooked dinner, and then we had a phone meeting with DS's psychologist's supervisor about the possibility of Autism. So I didn't have any down time yesterday at all...it was straight through 6 to 9 and then I CRASHED. But, the supervisor agrees that it's necessary to look deeper at Autism...DS exhibits enough traits to be a highly likely possibility. So...now we wait for the next step I guess. We met with the Psychologist today for DS's regular session and she said she had gotten the report, and asked what now, but hasn't gotten a reply yet. So I guess we wait.

Doing a happy dance!! One of the bullies has been expelled! Now..I DO have a question...what did he have to do to accomplish this feat? He was a kid from the other school...they have been at this school for 6 weeks and he's already gone. In the past several years, my son has been kicked, pushed down, pushed off the top of a slide, slammed against a wall, spit on, snapped with a towel, tripped, had a ball kicked at him repeatedly as hard as possible, and various other infractions and none of those kids were ever even disciplined much less expelled. So, as my husband says "Where's the body?" because he must have murdered someone to get kicked out in 6 weeks!!

Edit: I realize I knew a bully had been expelled, but until today, we weren't sure if it was one of DS's bullies, but DS was told today that this particular kid was not coming back to school, that they were looking for another school for him and then an email was sent to all the parents in his class saying this kid is absent until they find him a new situation. So it was confirmed that it was this kid, and it's just a HUGE relief!!!
Double WOOT!

{{HUGS}} I think back over the years with my ds and remember the waiting periods were some of the roughest so vent away when you need to.

I have had both and no problems with either. But last year I bit the bullet and splurged on a Mac!! Never going back. The Mac is wonderful!
That is an awesome splurge! Hope to get one one day. These PC's drive me nuts!

I though I had a stomach virus. Turned out to be a kidney infection. :grumpy: It seems it's always something.
Yikes! Hope it clears up quick.

That is excellent news! :)And I cannot believe all that your ds went through and nothing had been done prior. Just disgraceful on the part of the school and its teachers.:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

As much as Legos cost I told my daughter we're never getting rid of them!
Nope, us neither. Must have 1000's in Legos here. Luckily, I think we may be done with new purchases. Now if ds would not have taken loads of sets apart and used pieces for his own creations, bet we could sell them for a pretty penny. :banghead:
Someone on my daughter's bus was wiping homemade slime on other kids. It more like a paste made with baking soda and toothpaste all over her sleeve. Idiot children I call them.
Hopefully it was made with borax and will come out. But with the food coloring in their, I don't know.:( Slime should not be permitted at school.
