When you are forced into buying mens suits (ugh) try both Bloomingdale's and Nordstrom Rack on Golf across from Woodfield. When they are having sales you get top quality at a JC Penny price. Also I've bought multiple suits at Brooks Brothers during the sales on the Streets of Woodfield by Legoland. Many have that buy one get one % off the sale price. Father Son sent off together.
James will be lucky to get one from Walmart instead of salvation Army. I hate buying something he'll fit into maybe 2 or 3 times because it won't fit anybody else we know. He's going through an expanding human stick figure phase:banghead:

I went one weekend with DD down to her University and the next weekend to Disney. Talk about Sticker Shock!

The first couple of years when we only had my DS we stayed off site right outside the Magic Kingdom. Great hotels (now kinda scary)
and the moderates were not yet born on property. Food choices were plentiful and not anymore than around home or less. We always had free full breakfasts those few years at our hotel (not a motel like moderates are in reality) Having a little kid we generally ate dinner on our way back to our hotel off site. So really we only paid one meal in the parks and it wasn't as disproportionate to real life back then. Funny what happens with all that over a few decades. :cyclops:   :banghead:

Between the prices of resorts, admission and food things have certainly changed on Walton's Mountain.
^^^^Hence the condo or SOG. I remember also staying at the monorail hotels when they were expensive but not insane.

My folks liked the Contemporary when we went. It was expensive but it was only for a day or two. There wasn't enough to keep most at WDW for more than a day or two the first day or two. With Epcot a decade later 3 days was it and we headed south to the beaches. Different times for sure

DS went to Macy sales during growth. Many sold as separate pieces. I could replace pants for same suit coat and just let sleeves down. He grew 11 inches in a year.

Men tend to grow in other places outgrowning suits too

Oh Pixie Dust. Best of Wishes. I took my Mom twice. She has Mac so they did each eye 6 months apart. The first eye came out wondrously. By the next day Mom saw almost perfectly out of that eye without glasses. The second eye that had more disease from the Mac took a bit over a week for the vision to clear. Doc said that was to be expected however it did make her nervous. It did clear too. So I have high hopes for your successful surgery too.
My left eye took close to a month to get clear, but, it did eventually. I guess that every instance can be different. I did worry, but, I also had a scratch on my cornea from someplace (they called it an infection) which kept me going back about, on average, once per week. Like I said, eventually it cleared and all was well with the world.

I find nothing scary about the hotels close to Disney. Now the closer you venture to downtown Kissimmee, then there is reason for concern. The surprising thing is that there isn't a huge difference in hotel rates right near the main gate entrance to WDW then miles down the road in Kissimmee.

So glad it all worked out for you. Eye stuff is definitely scary.
I've had 2 corneal scratches/dry eye issues. The first time, I didn't even know what it was, but, my eye woudn't stop tearing up or hurting. I was in constant pain and tears. I went to my GP, and he told me to take it easy and it would go away. WRONG!!!!!!!
I then went to an Opthomologist that he recommended, and she examined me. She gave me the proper meds and treatment, with cream and an eye patch (arrrgghhh ;)), and told me to stay home for 2 days and pretend I was blind (could only watch TV because your eyes don't move back and forth so much - they were focused in one place).
I followed those orders to the letter. Then, the morning I was instructed to take my patch off in the shower, I did so...
To my horror, there was nothing but blur. I had a full-on panic attack. I, of course, called the doc, and was assured that blurry would go away in about a week. It would have been helpful to have had that info initially, but, it did go away in less than a week and my vision is still pretty much perfect.
As I've posted before, I need drugstore cheaters to see closeup, but, luckily, my far vision is20/20.
The second time was a pain, as well, but, at least I knew the drill.
Life's a HOOT...!!!!!!! :joyfull: ;) :)

I certainly is! After about a year of perfect vision in that eye, I got what they call a floater. That's when a small piece of the tissue in the back of your eye (think of it as a movie screen) broke free and is just floating around in there. It does occasionally slightly affect my vision in that eye, but, it is much more of an annoyance then and actual problem. It isn't ever noticeable at night or in artificial lighting, but, is more of a natural sunlight concern.

Oh boy. Very familiar with the floaters, too. About half a year after my first corneal fun (in my early 30's), I went back to her because of these "things" I kept seeing "inside" my eyes...!!!
Yes, generally annoying sometimes, but, nothing too serious, mostly.
It's kinda' funny how much has happened with my eyes over the years, yet, my vision is still very good (knock on wood - my head), overall, for the most part...I can still see a gnat on a dogs beeeeehind 200 yards away...!!! ;)
