Never heard of this before. What an amazing man. May he RIP (a BIG place in heaven was waiting for him)..

He was well known throughout the entire Northern IL area. With each major shipment of pizza pies to the active men and woman overseas there was major press coverage. One shipment the Girl Scouts joined in and sent Girl Scout cookies to accompany the pizza pies. Sweet that the whole thing started out of empathy for his fellow warriors overseas. Sweet.

My neighbor/tenant has been struggling with health issues for a while now. Today, she sent me out to the store to buy cat food. She wanted 15 cans. I went to the local pet store, and bought 84 cans. I called her to make sure about the flavors. She is always super obsessed about the cats' food, but not about her own. She has a hard time financially, and tends to borrow a lot from my husband. He is normally not annoyed by that, but lately he is starting to really complain. It is very difficult, when a lifelong friend/tenant always runs to you for help with their problems. Be it money, or other things. Why did I buy so many cans? Because as long as I was making the trip. I wanted to make it worthwhile. The 2 cats split one can each day. So she's set for a long time. They also eat dry food each day as well.

It hasn't been a good week at our house. My grandson's girlfriend has been in and out of the hospital with stomach issues. My grandson sent her off in an ambulance this morning, after she was sick all night. My husband and I try and help, but it's one of those situations where you don't know what to do. Kids living together, when they don't have a clue about life's curveballs.

Pixie Dust. Shows what a kind person you are to watch over those who are ill and less fortunate.
Very Nice. :inlove:

My DD and I were just talking about Mickey Waffles and you know how conversations evolve especially with an iPhone in hand.

The largest waffle weighs 50 kg (110 lb 3.68 oz) and was created by Stichting Gouda Oogst (Netherlands) in Nieuwe Markt, Gouda, Netherlands, on 29 June 2013. The waffle had a diameter of 2.47 m (8 ft 1.24 in)

In other news, angry .. very angry... alot of mexicans are angry.
Not for the quake.. but to the politicians who are pretty much doing a huge media clown shows in views of the 2018 presidential and government/state elections.
They go to the destroyed buildings, hug and talk to the people affected, leave witouth helping or sending a single dime of money.. then call themselves "the choice" for 2018.
Not to mention that some politicians are EVEN STEALING the trucks full of food and resources for the affected people, and delivered them to their personal houses.

Social media is now urging everyone to mark every product with hard to remove marker with a "for quake victims" and blocking the codes to prevent these dirty men to resell the stolen products..

And sometimes you just have to hate humans. :cautious: Sadly this isn't new during disastrous events. :hungry: It happens here, it happens around the world. Just pray the good outweighs the evil.

I remember the hurricane several years ago that just leveled the Haiti portion of the island and while it did harm the Dominican Republic it was not nearly as extensive as the Haiti portion that lost just about everything. The hospitals were sending doctors from here with every type of equipment from wheelchairs and surgical tables since their hospitals were just gone. Everything had to filter through the DR ports because Haiti's couldn't operate. Short of it none to very little of the doctors/hospital equipment nor food was making it out of DR to Haiti. The more media press that covered the disappearing items the more elaborate the stories became from the DR. Oh they are stuck in customs...in tomorrows release...this stuff just never made it to the wounded. Doctors trying to good without the supplies sent. I don't know what it is about disasters that make some humans want to capitalize off it. Just saw it in Florida with the Price Gouging on items like gasoline before and after Irma. Their attorney general stepped in right away. Kudos for that.

I keep praying for your country too. So many disasters in such order in our section of the world. 'Uncle' already.

After wrapping my head around my eye problems, and waiting for my eyes to return back to normal after being dialated, life threw me another curveball. I logged into Facebook last night to discover that a good friend of mine had passed away. Just 61 years old. Nice guy. I can't believe he is gone.
I'm so very sorry. I'm wanting this year to be over and fast.

Are you in need of a loaner sling shot? Long range here 80s for the next 10 days, note to self hide under large rock
I'm glad for you. Enjoy as much nice weather as you can. It will get cold before too long. This is a fast moving storm. It will be in and out. I may not be on much, for the next two days. 40 to 50mph. winds are coming along with the snow. I'm thinking this may be a bad year for us. Although, that's just a feeling I get.
