Ivory Tower Squabble EST 2011. WINDMILL SURVIVOR
The bugs are nutso tonight. Wicked fly in my DD apartment this evening. Now Cicadas are all over the brick by my back door. Making annoying noises even for them. Centipede are exploding out of nowhere as are spiders today. What the heck?
I would love for the states of finally join the world of fast trains. In the Northeast, we have Acela but I think they only go 90mph due to the curvy tracks here. MagLevs are the one's you really want if you want to go fast. But I don't foresee that ever happening here.

1. Population is too spread out
2. Cost

I would love more trains The funding was put in place for one for Illinois by the Feds. The tracks take so much less space than the new roads. Northern IL would also do well with light rails to follow the interstate roads up here especially in winter weather. Gridlock doesn't seem an adequate word. A light rail was extended and you can travel from downtown Chicago to Ohare airport. It is a long haul but by light rail it is quick Ohare belongs to Chicago however it actually is in the NW and W suburbs and doesn't even touch Chicago boundaries. So the light rail was a blessing

After wrapping my head around my eye problems, and waiting for my eyes to return back to normal after being dialated, life threw me another curveball. I logged into Facebook last night to discover that a good friend of mine had passed away. Just 61 years old. Nice guy. I can't believe he is gone.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. Indeed, 61 is too young, and I can imagine what a shock that must have been for you. It sometimes seems like the nicest people pass away before their time, while criminals, etc., all live long lives and make others miserable.

Cool story!
I've had bison/buffalo meat many times before, and it's very tasty. :hungry: They used to have a bison meatloaf on the menu at Whipering Canyon Cafe that I've had before, that was very good...! :hungry:
Thanks for sharing...! :)

I make bison meatloaf maybe twice a month. If you didn't know it was bison, you'd think it was regular ground beef. And any leftover meatloaf is awesome in a sammie -- heated up, with some melted cheese and ketchup. :hungry:

One of our cats must have brought in a leaf bug last night. I saw it dead by the back door this morning. I was not a happy camper kicking it out of the house. Eeeew!! There have been more bugs in the last week. Spiders in the house, stink bugs trying to get in, etc. Yuck! I hate bugs!
We weren't quite that hot, but it was warm. I think we are supposed to hit 90 tomorrow. This would have been okay in July or August but not now.
Speak for yourself. It was a lovely 87.:D Yes this should have been in August, but we had low 70's in August with 40's and 50's at night so we are just making up for those screwy summer numbers now. ;)

Normally I would agree with you about the lovely 87 and I enjoy it when I'm not trapped in a room with 28 sweaty pre-teens and very little air flow.
