News New Gondola Transportation - Disney Skyliner

Work has begun at 5 of the 6 stations. The only station where we haven't seen any work is the turn station at the Boardwalk parking lot.

That was being prepped when I was down last week. They had some earth moving equipment staging there.

Those might just be solar panels to power other things. Solar panels are not sufficient to power an AC unit.

Yep, those are just solar panels. Most ski resorts don’t get them because of the snow/cold factor. They can power optional infotainment, one way or two way communications, USB charging, video surveillance, seat heating, fans and/or wi-fi.

It might be a bit of a stretch to expect any of the photographed gondolas to be intended for Walt Disney World. There is still a good bit of time before the system opens.
