I remember a couple of trips ago, in the spring, me and my mom were waiting in line for Space Mountain. We're just entering the main port and walking past the track and one of the coasters has (not kidding) all nuns as riders. I'm posting a pic b/c I couldn't pass that up. Funniest thing I've ever seen! What about you?

I saw a bunch of Monks at The Wave a couple of weeks ago. Monks and nuns can have fun too!

My funniest WDW moment for me was probably at Chef Mickey's. Some kid: "Hey Goofy, I bet you can't do a cartwheel!" Yeah, Goofy got right in front of the whole restaurant and did a cartwheel. He proved that kid wrong! One of the best moments ever. :p

December 2012 (and I'm pretty sure I mentioned this elsewhere on the boards)- My mom, sister, and I are engaging of the family tradition of breakfast at 1900 Park Fair. Mom goes up to get food, and while she's gone, Alice comes over to the table. I snap a picture of her and my sister, then she comes over to me so I can get a picture. She begins to suggest a pose via conversation- "You seem like you're a curious sort, like you read a good many books?"

Before I can answer, my sister interjects with, "Yeah, he's a NERD."

Alice whips around and turns on her- "Well, that's a terribly rude thing to say! I for one read a great many books and am very curious, and I'd never refer to myself as a nerd!" Back to me, she says, "She's quite mad, isn't she? She'd best be careful, or the Queen of Hearts is likely to take her head!" We get a picture and she leaves. Once she's gone, I immediately let my sister have it- "Oh, snap! You just got scolded by Alice!"

My sister can be a bit... difficult at times, so it was hilarious to see her get a bit of comeuppance. Alice is awesome.

I had a funny experiance years ago. My wife and I were holding hands while walking through World Showcase and I let go of her hand to throw something into the trash. I went back and grabbed her hand again and we kept walking. At some point I looked ahead and guess who I saw walking in front of me? Yep...my wife. I looked to my right and sure enough, I had grabbed a strange ladies hand thinking it was my wifes. Luckily, (a) she was with her kids and not with a man (or woman) who might have punched me in the nose. (b) She had a good sense of humor and didn't get upset but instead laughed when I apologized and said " it's ok..no problem" and (c) She was very attractive so that helped. Aside from my red face, and my wife asking me "Who WAS that lady? it ended pretty well.

I saw some Buddhist monks taking pictures in at Epcot in front of the gospel style Christmas singers a couple years ago. I thought that was kind of funny in a weird way.

Eh. It's no more weird or funny than white tourists taking pictures in front of Buddhist temples or the like, in my mind.

Staying at the GF years ago. Got back from the Main House Monorail Station and was walking back as a child with my family to the Sugar Loaf. Room service was riding a golf cart loaded with trays. The cart was moving a bit quick. Not sure how fast they go. The cart took a turn,I guess a bit too fast or abruptly, then the cart rolled to the side, and the guy rolled out and hit the grass MacGyver style. We laughed so hard. Couldn't help it, it was so funny and unexpected. We were also some ways back so we didn't like laugh in his face. But with the quiet, elegance of the resort and the pathways. It was like a screwball scene from My Man Godfrey. Too funny!

We got in on our very first trip in the mid-80's. We were so hungry and it was night time. We could only get a late flight, so the plan was to eat, unpack, eat some more, get ready for bed, and keep on eating. We didn't eat on the flight for whatever reason. So, my parents called room service. This was at the Hilton. They see personal pizzas on the menu. My parents ask how small. They are told they are not that big…like 6 or 7 inches or whatever. My parents order 10. And a turkey club with fries.

So we are starving and the food is taking forever.

Well, I will never forget their expression when room service comes up with 10 massive, large pies and the turkey club sandwich. The guy looked around and only saw my parents, a little girl who was dying to go to sleep, and my brother who was napping.

My parents kept trying to wake my brother up to eat, but he was out cold. It was a different time…they actually looked around and if people passed in the hallway, they asked if anyone nearby would like some pies.

We were very careful to order after that.

Number 3….

Just got in and our family tradition was to spend the first night at Epcot after arriving, hanging out and unpacking at GF. GF was new, it was like our second trip to WDW and we didn't go to Coral Reef our first time. So we dined our first night at Coral Reef and were very excited. We sat down to dinner and the server took our order. There was a very nice, friendly family dining next to us and we started conversing. Same set up. Two parents and two kids. They started telling us about their trip and how they were mid-way through and some of the stuff they saw and tips for us.

Then they tell us that it was their second time dining at Coral Reef. They almost cancelled and were going to go somewhere else. You know, because on one of their first few nights there, they all dined at Coral Reef one night, and the entire family had food poisoning, diarrhea, throwing up, the works, after eating dinner at CR.

So here we are waiting for food and we were starved and they keep going on about what they ordered and how bad it was. So my parent with two small children at the cusp of their first night of a 10 day trip, kept talking but looked mighty nervous. Looking back it was so funny and such bad timing.

I didn't care. I dug into my seafood fettuccine alfredo. Nothing happened. Very odd, but funny.

Funniest moment was at Magic Kingdom on Main Street right before the parade was due so the streets were lined with people, anyway my shoe was untied and I tripped and fell flat on my face and all I could hear was a huge amount of laugher and OMGs coming from the crowds  And for some reason there was hardly anyone else on the road so everyone got a good view. I'm pretty sure it is on YouTube somewhere, someone had to have filmed it.

My brother-in-law once had to rent a scooter due to we where at Walt Disney World right after some medical problems. Late ne night we were walking down one of the long halls at Boardwalk Villas and he was driving his scooter going from one side of the hall to the other. My wife and I said that is how he must drive from drinking to much. Just than he took a turn and we saw are 5 year old grandson at the controls.

I remember last year leaving our room at Port Orleans French Quarter to get bags from the car and almost getting run over by two young girls dressed as princesses....then as we walked through the court yard toward the parking lot, a man came up, carrying a Dora the Explorer back pack, two jackets tucked under his arms, holding a drink in one hand and a giant pinwheel lollypop in the other. He huffed and puffed and asked if I saw two young girls run by. I said yes, and he continued on...
Having no children, or planing to have none, I was a little bit joyful to see the jovial look of those kids and the worn out look on that dad. I've never experienced anything like he had in my life, but I remember all too well wearing my parents down at Disney World when I was very young... Made me think of my recently departed father the rest of the trip. Kinda made it perfect.

When I was 16, dad and I decided to go back to the MK after dinner at Park Fare to see Wishes, but we got caught behind the electric light parade. I climbed up the stairs at the entrance to try to get a better view (joys of being 5'3") and dad stayed down. I sat down really quickly on the steps to retie my sneakers, and this older couple just blew past me, almost stepping on me. Then the husband had the nerve to turn back and yell at me, "You're not supposed to sit on the F#$@ING stairs!" I didn't know how to respond, I was just shocked someone would be so mean at Disney World of all places, so I yelled back "Well... Screw you, too!" Just as my dad was turning around... He looked up at me, completely shocked, and shouted up, "Andie! What is wrong with you?" Needless to say, once he found out what happened, he told me I handled it better than he would have haha

One of the funniest things I have seen at WDW took place at the 50s Prime Time. We were seated next to a table with a couple and their son who was around 10-11 years old. The parents were "misbehaving" a bit.... so their waitress told them they were not a good example to the boy... and moved him to a different table with another family. The funny part is the boy just sat with his "new" family and continued to eat his meal apparently not phased the least bit. The people dining in our section were all laughing! Gotta love the Prime Time staff!

Gotta love all the guests for rolling with it and playing along. That's the kind of thing that could have easily lead to a complaint with a thin-skinned family.
