If you could bring back an old Disney attraction, what would it be?

It's still there - Shades of Green is now there (used to be Disney Inn before that). They expanded since the Golf Resort days but it isn't a bad place to stay for military. Quite nice honestly.

  • Mr. Toad.
  • The original Imagination.
  • 20k Leagues-an updated ride system/approach like the one in Tokyo would be great.
  • The original, unadulterated Pirates.
  • Snow White-other than redundancy, there wasn't any real reason to lose an opening-day attraction.
  • Horizons, obviously. I was only ever on it once, right at the end of our vacation, but it was wonderful. And "that ride where the family has a seal for a pet" was something my brother and I were excited about revisiting when we returned. Unfortunately, we were told to look forward to Mission: Space when we came back 2-3 years later.

1) 20K without a doubt, but with updated effects.
Frankly the effects were poor even in their day.

2) Alien Escape, which I never got the chance to do.

*I'll never understand all the love for Mr. Toads Wild Ride.
While I did have fun on it, I was little more than a carnival ride.

Is this a combination of the Great Movie Ride and The American Adventure? I could totally get on board with inserting American historical figures into classic movies. Ben Franklin vs. Alien? Sign me up!

Of course Horizons and Journey into Imagination original. But I also love a Superstar TV at MGM.

I would love to see them bring back the original 2nd floor of ImagineWorks.

And bring back the Ft Wilderness Railroad.

Original Imagination...It was sad to talk to some JIYIWF cast and hear them sad that nothing was announced for their ride. I generally hate CM rumors, but the comment one made was that there is a bunch of imaginer talk of replacing the ride with something more in line with the original, it lost out to the UoE and spine remakes in FW. Basically there wont be anything announced or underway until after Rat/GotG/Spine and other things are completed at Epcot.

I only mention it because the statement lines up with rumors we already know are legit from sources here.

Do you remember thinking that the miniature part that you could see from the queue (through the Mighty Microscope) was really a distorted view of the actual people in their OmniMovers? I knew they didn't really get shrunk, but still I thought it was real people we were seeing. I was totally bummed when I finally figgered out that the OmniMovers took a left just after entering the 'scope.

I don't believe that this is correct. There may be CG elements of that shot, but I'm pretty sure the building is all real.

Hmmm I've read many places that it is CGI because of the no fly zone in the area. Even drones are cause for being detained if you try to use them in the area. Maybe Disney is super special but signs point to that it wouldn't have been allowed. It doesn't look real either and if it were somewhat real it has to be CGI to remove people.

As for the OmniMovers - yes the first time I rode it I thought the same thing!!! Of course I figured it out later, but still, I thought that was "someone" real.

Well that question is definitely an AFFC (alltime favorite forums classic ) and I love it! Although my answer has not changed since it was asked here for the first time. I miss Horizons the most, I am very sad I didn't have the chance to make a GOOD QUALITY video of the ride and still consider it a grave mistake, they didn't give this epitomic ride in Future World a second chance, instead demolished it to build a half-a..ed approach to what would have been a truly epic successor but was downsized to a "training mission" instead, Mission Space. BTW, everyone who wants to learn about what Horizons was like should watch the truly amazing video by Martin on Youtube!
I understand that Horizons was a little dated in the 90ies but it was still very popular as well.
I also miss the Barker Bird at the Tiki Room, the firing cannons and steeldrum bands at Carribean Plaza, all these added a lot to the atmosphere in Adventureland.

This is just for for me as I know it was just replaced and technically it is not an attraction but a Fireworks Show. I would want Wishes to return even if it was just for one night while I was at the Magic Kingdom because the first time I was at the park was when I was 4 years old in the year 2000 and the show hadn't started and the next time I went to WDW was just earlier this July, so I missed the entire long run believe it or not. So seeing the iconic show just once would be great. Then they could bring back Happily Ever After which I thought was fabulous.
