The Chit Chat Chit Chat Thread

I just wanted to say Happy Fathers Day to all the dads here, whether you are a dad of human children or fur/feather/fin babies, or someone who stands as a father figure for someone who needs it. I've had a few father figures in my life, most of them gone now, but I celebrate having had them in my life...I'm lucky. So here's to all you men who protect, watch over, and guide others. You are a special breed!

Thank you so very much...!!! :)
I feel so bad for being so far behind...

Just saw this as I work backwards on the thread. My TR is taking time away from here! That is sad and blue is my favorite train.:(

I try and stick with this thread and TR's and planning, etc. :)Those in N&R are some scary folks. Stay too long over there and you will lose all optimism and hope.:eek:

Somehow, I'm feeling dejavu, and feel like I've already answered this, or a similar, post, but, none of them there could EVER make me lose all optimism and hope...!!!!! ;) :)

OK, I'm answering posts I already have again, so I'm gonna' call it a night.
But, first, I forgot to post about this...
DWifey got a call on Tuesday evening from the head Manager at Kerby Lane Cafe about the "Great Father's Day Mimosa Shower of '17". She, apparently, had just heard about it. She said she was surprised we weren't comped anything, and wanted to make up for it by offering us all a free (booze not included, of course ;)) family meal anytime in the future.
I'm impressed...
We'd already let it go that day long before we even left the place, but, that was very cool of her to follow up. Apparently, it made quite the impression, and DWifey took the hit for the team...!!!!! :hilarious:  ;)

OK gang, I'm out...!
Y'all be cool, and sweet Disney dreams and mornin' to all...!!!
See y'allllllllllllllll...!!!!! :)

That's the only thing good about the current situation. I hope the rumors are true about a fix to future world being announced at D23 I also hope they don't add an IP to everything. Keep having fun and let us know when you can how your first year went

I hope not too. Epcot is unique. Once free of IPs. A very different offering. Disney at its best offering different experience not just an extention of every other park. I really want dollars spent to fix the failings but don't want to loose what Epcot is.

Figment is beloved. To loose it to a very mediocre Disney film, I don't get that.

Now that is a classy managerial response. I'm impressed. How did they know how to contact the DWifey?

In Illinois they cannot comp any alcohol. Strangely they can offer it but not comp it. I kinda get that. Let us know how that goes the next go around.
I went to a inlaw wedding a couple weeks after my DS was born. He was a very rough delivery and I was still very ewe and wobbly. (I was in hospital 5 days if that gives you all a hint.)

My MIL took it upon herself to make me a dress for the wedding, I hated it, so not me. Creepity to have your wear chosen for you too. Anywhoo I had a plated Wedding dish dumped on me, my first outing after the birth and so not up to it in the first place. Managements response was they'd pay for the dress cleaning. :jawdrop: Instead I tossed it.

Okay, seriously, how stupid are people?

I emailed a supervisor today, as I do every other Friday, reminding him to approve the timesheets for his resources. He hadn't done them. He emailed me back that there's a mistake and he had already approved them all.

I went into our timekeeping software. He approved them two minutes before he sent that email.

So 1. How stupid is it to lie to me like that instead of just saying "Sorry, I've approved them now" and 2. How stupid does he think I am that I'm not going to pick up on that?

I hate people.

Oy. Idiots everywhere

It's currently 99 degrees here with a heat index of 108.
In one neighborhood in Southeast Austin it's currently107 with a heat index of 120. BRRRRR for us up here in Northwest Austin...! :cold: ;)
Now we're talkin' good ol' summer temps...!!! :)
It was pretty here today. Overnight we had two power outages, both so were due to others not having a cluel

Unfortunately, they are indeed adding IP. After frozen, theres rumor that the authorization and approved papers made the Rattatouie attraction on Worldshowcase rumor as pretty much confirmed.

I remember my first suitcases as an adult. They were latches and some had combos. Some had a weird latches that you could insert a lock. I don't think they could accommodate a TSA lock. Way too much has changed since 9/11

Ha! Older luggage was a hoot. Here is an instance of an item, that I've been all in favor of updating 100%. The newer luggage is so much lighter, portable, etc.

Seriously. Can't remember when I wrote a check. :cyclops:

I write checks every month for all the bills. Never felt secure with online banking. (Fully realize I'm in the minority here.)
